Granted, he's a really good utility player, but I didn't see Uggla getting traded within the division unless they got a great player in return. I guess that this is further evidence of how cheap the Marlins are.

I'd potentially buy that if it wasn't the billionth time the Marlins have had a fire sale for one of their players at the PRECISE time when they start to get expensive.

Would have been a decent haul if there had been another reliever and some prospects included in the deal. But Uggla for Infante and Dunn is not even close to equal value.

It makes sense, the Marlins needed to get rid of the expensive Dan Uggla so they would have an extra billion dollars to throw at John Buck, the Ivan Rodriguez of the future.
