Madison Bumgarner...wow...
This is what the Yankees should have done to the Rangers. Thankfully, Girardi short-circuited any possibility of that happening.

The Rangers look like an offensively inept team. I can't say that was out of the realm of possibility IMO, but it is surprising that they suddenly look like all of the Rangers teams of old, in terms of inconsistency, rather than the supposedly improved 2010 version.

Their pitching has looked pedestrian at best and I can't imagine how many more times they'll throw O'Day out there to give up the longball. All in all, it hasn't been the series I've been hoping for and definitel not what I expected after the Yankee series. It actually reminds me a lot of the 2008 series between TB and PHI. The Rays just never looked like the Rays during that series and it was disappointing from a baseball perspective. I'm afraid TX will lose without showing why they won the AL this year.

Last remaining piece of drama: can Cliff Lee propel this series back to SF or will the Rangers lose--improbably--twice with him on the mound in a 5 game span? If he does, could he pitch a bit in game 7? I would think so... especially if Nolan Ryan has something to say about it.

Here's a nice video on the Travel Channel's top 5 burger joints. The Eagle Deli in Boston is #2. The #1 place is Louie's in New Haven, Ct. which claims to be the birthplace of burgers in the U.S.

Whoo-hoo! Connecticut DID give the US something else other than Pratt & Whitney and GW Bush!

I can hardly wait for this bore of a series is over so the FO can get on with building the 2011 Sox. I can't take watching two teams play for the championship that the injured 2010 sox could have beaten.

Talksox seems pretty dead today. Anyone going to watch this game? Will the Giants beat the Rangers for the first World Series win since 1954 or will Lee dominate and keep the Rangers alive? Predictions?

I expect Lee to rebound and be untouchable for this game

Lincecum is making a great lineup look ill. I know Lee is getting a lot of pub, but Lincecum has been just as good. He's dropped some mph on his FB since he came up, but his location has been impeccable. And what I like about Lincecum is his ability to elevate a 91-93mph fastball and make it look 98mph after dropping a bowling ball change down and away

I'm so tired of people slamming this World Series. Jesus Christ. I'm as disappointed as anyone about the Sox not getting to the postseason this year, but this has to be the best of all possible worlds: The Yankees getting eliminated by TEXAS without it going seven games? San Francisco beating out the Phillies, so that all the obnoxious Philadelphia fans can take their newfound baseball arrogance and shove it up their collective asses? Matchups of some of the best pitchers in baseball? San Fran, a great city, on the verge (touch wood) of winning it all for the first time since the franchise first moved to the Golden State?

Come on, people, this has been a great World Series thus far, with two extremely deserving franchises battling it out. I know Texas' bats have grown cold, but here's hoping they wake up tonight, Cliff Lee wins tonight, and San Fran gets to win it at home. Man, San Fran would be a phenomenal town to party in the night of their first WS victory. Great bars, great cocktails, great people...smart people...and a great atmosphere all around. That whole city is behind that team--plus, it's a real city, unlike Arlington, TX--it's just got to end up being San Fran's.

Here's hoping...

This has been a snoozer of a world series so far. It took the rangers 2 games to recover from Lee getting creamed. Jonathan Sanchez beat himself in Game 3 and since Bumgartner toed the rubber, the Rangers havent scored in 15 innings. This has been a one-sided affair.
