Both teams have terrific starting pitching, and each matchup appears to be a treat. The Phillies are definitely the favorite, but this series should be a good one.

Halladay-Lincecum is one of the best playoff pitching matchups in my memory. Can't wait.

 

Interestingly enough, I think we just saw one as good (if not better) in a do or die game for both teams, no less.

 

Point being, I don't remember the last time there has been this many excellent pitchers in one postseason.

In all fairness, in my opinion it should be 3-2 Phillies because Halladay was jobbed on a 2-out strike 3 call which gave Burrell another pitch which he promptly launched for an Rbi double and the next batter followed with an Rbi single to make it 4-1 in the 6th.
