I refuse to be friends with someone who says dumb s*** as often as Emmz does.

What the f*** is your problem dude?

This is an interesting discussion, and even if some name-calling and crap are thrown around, there's no need to take this personally. Jesus f***ing Christ.

Sorry. I SUCK at posting youtube videos on this forum. Wish there was an easy way.

Holy crap, never seen that before. Totally unsurprising though, Shannon Brown is a ridiculous athlete.

You can't be as bad at that as I am at posting pictures on here. I needed MSU, Dipre, and Bsox to help me post the one picture of me that is on this site.

The best part is Luke Walton. He has no business laughing at anyone.

The best part, for me, is Pau Gasol actually showing a face other than his "I'm going to bitch for seven minutes now, because that was totally not a foul" face.

Even though several people agree with me. Right. Like I said, I think that the Patriots have a chance considering that they have who is probably the greatest strategist of the past 20 years coaching, but they just aren't as talented as the 2001-2004 teams. Winning games at this rate with as poor of stats as they have is unsustainable, something will give, and you'll finally see how vulnerable this team is. Their offense is a shell of it's former self, while the defense gives up big play after big play.

Try bringing your scoring argument to any football discussion board that knows what it's talking about, and they laugh at you. Yardage is much more accurate of how a team is playing, while scoring defense revolves around a lot of factors not connected to how well the defense or offense is playing. For example, Norv Turner is a terrible coach, as is Brad Childress. Poorly play calling in the red zone after a strong drive usually leads to just settling for a field goal, or worse.

I never once said that the Pats have no chance to finish with a top-notch record, but I'm questioning your objectivity in all of this. It's pretty odd that you have repeatedly said that there's no need for concern over the team's inability to stop their opponents, and over the last few weeks, to score even.

You said that the Patriots are a good offensive and defensive unit. They were good offensively like, 4 weeks ago. They're ranked 28th defensively. This is the pot calling the kettle a pot.

One thing that Id like to point out, when the pats were winning those superbowls......it was never about stats.

The overal rankings looked pretty good, but this has NEVER been a team that fancied themselves on personal achievements.

Just look what Bradys 50 TD's got us......nothing.

What did an undefeated regular season get us? Nothing.

Blowing teams out, running up the score.......Nothing.

They won as a team, lets wait til the end of the season to see where their rankings are. They are improving each week.....all while putting together a 6-1 record.

Easy boy.

Im certainly not agreeing with everything that you have said.

Those are just my observations.

Stats do indicate trends, good or bad for the most part. The Patriots have been an exception to that rule. I think by years end they are in the top 10 in most TEAM rankings.

2007/08 was retarded. I mean, I can't say I wasn't so juiced up at the time, I loved the TDs, love the offense, but looking back, that was not Patriots or Belichick football at all.

I'd prefer to win 17-3 way more than 52-0

Close games are fun, but I would love it if my favorite team was blowing out their opponents week in and week out. I'm not a Pats fan, but I loved watching that team play more than any other team that I wasn't a fan of.

6-1' date=' best team in the NFL, etc. All that really matters. What's the Vikings record again?[/quote']

This is why I like to debate things with you. You get increasingly irrational with every argument that goes against you. The Vikes got nothin' to do with this.

Remember the 2003 and 2004 Vikings? They started out 6-0 and 6-1, finished 8-8 and 9-7. So what's your point? You're pretty much convinced that this team's the best in the NFL, even though they got destroyed by the Jets, back when they had an offense too. They almost lost to the Chargers and Vikings too.

All roads lead back to the old ends justify the means thing.

Agreed, the 2001 Patriots were very poor statistically, but that doesn't mean that there's no reason to concern or discuss it. Although, the 2003 and 2004 Patriots were elite defensively.

Just look what Bradys 50 TD's got us......nothing.

This I disagree with, because the Patriots were by far the best team in 2007, but towards the end of the season, they had a significant tail-off statistically.

At their peak, they were the top ranked offensive and defensive team in the NFL. At one point, they seemed to put up 450 yards of total offense in every game, Brady was on pace to throw like 60 TDs and pass for over 5,000 yards, and complete 80% of his passes. They tailed off statistically near the end of the season, and every week they looked more vulnerable.

Stats do indicate trends, good or bad for the most part. The Patriots have been an exception to that rule. I think by years end they are in the top 10 in most TEAM rankings.

The Chargers have also been a huge exception in the opposite way. And I don't think that the Pats will ever make the top 20 even in defense this year, they were very lousy for the past three weeks. While the offense may find a rhythm, I doubt they see nearly as much success as they did with Moss.

I agree with this for the most part, though.

emmz i hope you are not trying say the pats are going to do what min did 2003-2004?

the thing is we have a top 2 qb in the nfl and the best coach

and the jets did not destroy us in that game , if brady did not keep looking to throw deep to moss every f***ing playing in the 2nd half we would made the game close or won it
