Does anyone else think that Chapman should use throw a knuckleball or eephus pitch? I mean if he's throwing 99-103 and people are obviously cheating on his fastball, I'd love to see him throw a pitch around 70-80 mph and watch the hitter swing and fall over.

Bad call at second base opens this up. How much more evidence do we need for instant replay?

Utley also never touched 3rd base when he scored

also , Bruce really f***ed up there

Possibly, although there wasn't a conclusive replay. Didn't matter though because the Reds never appealed.

But it's the call at second that's inexcusable.

However, I was referring to the call at second, where Utley was definitely out.

it was close there BUT as I mentioned earlier , Rolen had a much easier play to go to first and should of went there

I don't think so. He knew he had time, and he wanted to keep the tying run out of scoring position. He made the play, Utley was out, and the ump blew it.

It seems like every bad call by the umps is strategically placed at a crucial time in the game. I mean' date=' how hard is it to use instant replay to get the call right the first time?[/quote']

It isn't hard, and it's ridiculous that they haven't expanded replay yet.

I just tuned in. Anyone care to tell me what the ump f***ed up this time?

4-3 Reds in the bottom of the seven. Utley at first with one out for Werth. Grounder to third, Rolen tried to cut down the lead runner at second - umpire called him safe when we was pretty clearly out. Utley didn't even slide straight into the bag because he was thinking about breaking up the DP.

I'm guessing that was the turning point seeing the Reds haven't scored a run after that inning. The umps have been horrible so far in the division series. I've seen blown calls for the Giants/Braves game Rays/Rangers and even the Yankees/Twins.

The Umps should start using instant replay if a bad call results in a run being scored. They already use it for HR's, its about time to expand it.

The Reds are acting like a team that hasnt been there in almost 2 decades. They are young, and they should be good enough to compete next yr. But this yr is a learning experience. Mistakes against playoff teams are going to kill you. I felt bad for Chapman. Kid didnt pitch all that poorly. Rolen throws to the wrong base, the right fielder and 2b cannot field a relay causing 2 runs to score.

"The best offense in the National League this year" my ass.

I feel for the fans of Cinci and Minny. It's a long road to get to the playoffs and a 3 game sweep can seem like a s***** way to end an otherwise really good season. It never does the season sufficient justice.

The Twins need a manager that doesn't soil himself when he sees pinstripes.
