I know that both boston and WhiskeyBreath (the pick after boston) are on talkpats often, so if there is activity there for the Monday Night Football game, then we should get those picks in tonight as well.

Great pick. I was hoping he would last. :(

Another great thing about Harrison is that he isn't just a pass rusher.

Thanks WB. I didn't mention that, but Harrison's 2009 season might have even been more impressive than his 2008 season. He only got 10 sacks (compared to 16 the previous year), but he became a better all-around player, making a big impact against the run and in pass coverage.

Ben Roethlisberger - QB

I'm extremely happy to get Big Ben on my team at this point of the draft. I would take him over multiple QB's that have already been selected.

I hope people don't hold his off the field problems against him while evaluating the talent of my team.

Just an organisational question. On the chart on the first page' date=' why is Darrelle Revis in a different Cornerback column as Charles Woodson and Nnamdi Asomugha?[/quote']

I edited the table from my iPhone. I'll make the change.

James Harrison was the other player I had debated when I ultimately went win LaMarr Woodley. He's a great player but I was considering the short and long term when I made that selection...he's on the wrong side of 30 for me. Still, I was very very close to picking him.

Right, that's the main drawback with Harrison, and if I had picked when you did, I likely would have taken Woodley as well.

Big Ben is a perfect example of why I wouldn't have gone QB in the first round if it weren't for getting a top 5 pick. He's awesome value as a 3rd rounder, just a notch below the elite QBs taken in the first five picks.

For the record, I wasn't insinuating that you made a bad pick Youker. I just remember that you drafted Corey Hart and David Ortiz in our Baseball Redraft League while the AllStar game was on TV, so I was wondering if the Saints/49ers game on TV influenced your pick at all.

Sorry about the wait guys. I want Ngata (nice pick TK) to be the NT in my 3-4, but with him gone I'll focus on my pass rush. The NFL is a passing league, and the best way to combat a good passing game is with a good pass rush. My pick is a bit on the old side, but he's at the peak of his production, and I'm confident he can sustain this level of success for three years. Additionally, I view him as the perfect compliment to Ware.

James Harrison, OLB

Harrison was a very good selection, an OLB duo of Harrison and Ware would be absolutely amazing, very good pick. I know Harrison is old for a football player, but I definitely think he can at least continue being a great player for 2 more years and at least a "good" player for another after that.

If it still takes forever for people to make their picks, then it can be taken down from there. At this point, only 2 people have ever had to be skipped. And we've made 11 picks today, which I think is pretty good.

Thanks JB, I believe in building my defense around a pass rush, and I think Harrison and Ware are a good start.

I think we give MSU another shot - he's a pretty regular poster (and a mod) and seemed to be real interested in this - I'd feel bad penalizing him so severely especially if he has had a crazy few days at school.

I agree, he's one of my friends here and he's a great guy, so obviously we won't kick him out of the redraft. I remember when I first started drinking as well. ;)

I just hope for his sake that he's at least discovering the MSU coeds.
