Well you aren't the only poster here, and gamethreads are much more flooded than normal threads. Also, it's alot easier to use italics to indicate sarcasm. (In addition, the smiley faces work well with sarcasm too) With all due respect, your sarcasm wasn't obvious enough as multiple posters didn't pick up on it and thought that you were insinuating that Dice-K still had a quality start.

 

If only one poster misunderstood your sarcasm, then that would be another story.

I remembered it as being disgustingly good. Maybe I'm just misremembering. But Doubront's curve does remind me a lot of Zito's.

It's not that it was bad, it just looked like a meatball, as if he were lobbing it to the plate. Umpires used to pause after his pitch and think about it before making a ball/strike call.

There were a couple of years he had a really good 12-6 curve but there were guys out there like Carpenter/Halladay/Pedro who had better.
