One of the worst contracts in baseball.

I hope he makes Pavano look like a bargain. But I really wouldn't be surprised if A-rod goes on to win one more MVP.

Like what Tito is doing sending the runners - trying to open up holes in the infield and making the hitters focus on making contact.

At this point it would be pretty improbable if the Yankees were to win this game, when you consider the score, Hughes' pitch count, and Lester opposing the Yankees. Not too upset that I'm going to have to miss most of this one.

Except that this is the 2010 Sox.

There is no chance A-rod wins another MVP. His stats this year are worse than even last year (when he was injured) and there are very few hitters that have aged well after 35 (not many more than Babe Ruth and Willie Mays of the non-steroid era, or probable steroid users like Barry Bonds).

Drew I'm not asking for much..just get a hit. A grand slam would be nice but just get a hit!

He got the run in, and moved the other guys up. need a big hit from Victah to make it 4-0.

I don't think Hughes is better than Buchholz by any means, but I think even you would have to admit that Hughes was very unlucky that inning. Not a single ball was hit well.

Lmao! You have such hatred towards Jacko..I love it!

Well, tying this series would still be a bit of a loss, but if they can wear out the Yankee bullpen in the last game of the series, that's a win.

All Yankee fans should be assumed to be despicable vermin. The few that are not are freakish exceptions.

I just don't think Hughes does anything better than Buchholz. With that being said, you looked pretty bad with your proclamations earlier in the year during the May series.

True but despite getting two there, I think the Sox let an incredibly wild Phil Hughes off the hook in the second inning. A lot of balls left up in the zone.

Hughes is getting hurt by A-Rod's below-average fielding, but it's not like he was impressive with his command or his stuff. Maybe he's tipping his curveball - when he throws it low, the Sox haven't swung at it.
