Something tells me this could end up being a major slugfest.

Two powerful offenses that haven't really done much the past two days having really favorable matchups.

The Red Sox crush lefties (specially soft-tossers).

The Phillies crush righties (and Lackey's struggling).

Could be a football score.

Beltre should have both Ellsbury's and Hermida's salaries deducted from his. Jesus Christ.
His acquisition resulted in an infield logjam and he wiped out our already thin OF. Since he chases balls down so well in the OF, Tito should put him in LF. We've put Youk out there before.

In a "mental" infield logjam, mind you.

Suggestions for a new Beltre nickname-- Bonecrusher' date=' Ribbasher, Beltre the Barbarian, Adrian the Impaler...[/quote']

How about something RBI related? Beltre leads the team in your favorite stat.

RBI's only count to rhet when talking about JD Drew. In fact, his archaic stat of the day is really only an issue when it's a non-dirt dog new guy who is failing in said archaic stat of the day, then that stat of the day is very important, and good reason for proclaiming yourself more competent that the GM that has put together two championship rosters.

And a team that has made the playoffs seven time in the last eight years.

And also more competent than every defensive performance evaluator (I.e: scout) that works for the Red Sox and every other player that has ever proclaimed Beltre to be a great 3B. Through the TV by the way.

That's probably the worst start of his career. Certainly the worst in the last ten years, and I didn't feel like checking any further back than that.

This Beltre guy sure can hit. I don't understand all this "logjam" talk, since all the guy does is hit. For there to be a logjam there has to be an actual problem. Oh well.
