Pics or stfu.;)

He played for concordia. We faced him twice in the regionals. Both regionals we lost our first meeting, then met on the last day needing to take 2 in a row to go to the CWS, and we did it both times. He was ridiculous, but we walked him almost all the time. They had two lefty pitchers who got drafted too, who were just filthy. But they couldnt close us out.

Yeah that only works when several members have voiced their displeasure about the player in question. Don't burn the joke out there.

What is wrong with the fans. When you get a foul pop fly just a few rows into the stands, MOVE OUT OF THE WAY and let the Sox try to make the play.

UGH, WP, 5-5 game.

Doug Flutie would have caught that! With his glove!

Um. Dice is like Wake.

There is a difference.

bad wakefield is intolerable. Good wakefield is good.

No excuse for him to stay in that inning.

It may have been clear that he was not effective earlier in the game. But what would you have done?

You know, I'm thinking that taking out Wake when he loaded the bases would have been a good idea and I would have done something unheard of - bring in my best reliever. I'd go with Bard or Papelbon to try to get out of the bases loaded, no out jam and then go to Nelson, etc for several innings. I think using your best pitcher in likely the most critical spot is a good idea.

What gives you a better chance to win, using your best reliever in a bases loaded no out situation or trotting out a scrub? I know it seems sooo strange, but it's a move I'd seriously consider. Letting Wake try to finish or sending in your mop up guy may very well end up putting you in a big hole. It's a key spot in the game and I don't want a struggling starter or scrub in there with no outs.

I have been having trouble with my NESN feed so I have been watching the KC feed. In the first two innings their announcers remarked several times that Wakes ball was not diving in the zone and that it was acting like a hanging curve. I left to do a couple of things expecting Wake to get bashed after hearing that. Question: If the Royal's announcers could see that his knuckler was flat, why would Tito leave him in for that horrific beating?

This is Tito you're talking about, do you really need to ask that?
