something wrong with scutaro ? that's back to back games he's missed

oh and YES!! Schoeneweis is gone

Left elbow soreness. According to Francona, it's bothered him for a while:

Player News (last updated: May 20, 2010)

News: Scutaro is suffering from a sore left (non-throwing) elbow and was given a cortisone shot, the Boston Globe reports.

Spin: Scutaro, who was held out of Wednesday night's win over the Twins, will not play Thursday. The Red Sox are describing the injury as "tennis elbow," indicating there is soreness on the outside bone of the joint. "It's actually been bothering him for a while," Red Sox manager Terry Francona said. "We know it's been bothering him when he's been swinging the bat. He really wanted to play through it. He's done a nice job. We talked about it last week a little bit and the more we talked it made sense to do that. He's going to be just fine." The Red Sox will purchase the contract of infielder Angel Sanchez from Triple-A Pawtucket as a result.

Tennis Elbow in his left arm.

I've had tennis elbow my fair share of times. For the record, I play a fair amount of tennis, although getting my rocks off whenever Erin Andrews is on TV might exacerbate the situation. Tennis elbow isn't that bad. It's annoying and lingers, but it's not that prohibitive, especially for a pro athlete.

The Lowell nonsense needs to end. He whines about not getting playing time, so they reward his distraction by putting him in? I wasn't sold on Ortiz before, but he's putting up great numbers right now, and the last game he faced a big lefty-- Sabathia-- he came up 2 for 3 with a walk.
