the expos were very popular, despite attendance figures at the park, but locally in Ottawa I would say most of the amature ball players here are Francophone, my boy played house league and there was a lot of French spoken at the park, bear in mind we are mostly bilingual here

I went to an Expos game once. There must have been 3,000 at the game. The loudest it got in the stadium was when I spilled my poutine all over myself and screamed "merde!".
