Good to hear that Cameron could be back by week's end. A DFA of Van Every is most likely.

Matsuzaka has had some success against Toronto in his career - 4-1 with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. Hopefully he can turn things around.

well lets look into some infomation before we just right dice-k off.

lester and beckett didn't have great start for a couple of there games. so we should give dice k the same amount of time.

We clobbered Eveland last time, hopefully it happens again tonight. We may a lot of runs because you never know what you are getting with Dice-k.

How about a DL stint for the Vertigo man instead?

Being that Cameron is a RH hitter, why not keep the LH Van Every and cut McDonald?

yeah ' date=' cause that would be smart to DL one of your best players for nothing[/quote']

Best in that Bizarro world kind of way. Maybe tonight he won't be able to play because of a yeast infection.

Maybe he'll sit with what will be described as a general malaise.

More from the Globe:

State of the Sox: The Sox have won two straight, six of eight and 13 of their last 20.

Home cooking: The Sox are 5-2 on a homestand that has two games left. They have won nine of their last 13 games at home.

Dice-OK: Matsuzaka has sure had a weird 10 innings since he came of the disabled lost. If you add up his last inning against Baltimore on April 24 and his first inning against the Angels on May 6 you get 1.2 innings, 8 hits, 10 earned runs.

The rest of his two outings? 8.1 innings, 4 hits, 1 earned run.

Add them together and you get a 9.90 ERA, which stinks. But at least there are signs that he has the ability to get outs. Tonight will be an interesting test for him.

Down on the farm: Mike Cameron is set to play center field for Pawtucket tonight. He was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk as the DH last night and scored from second on a single.

Beating on the Blue Jays: The Sox are 4-0 against the Jays this season but have outscored them by only five runs.

Hot hitters: Marco Scutaro has hit safely in 13 of the last 14 games. ... Kevin Youkilis has a nine-game hitting streak going. ... Adrian Beltre is 23 of 61 (.377) with 12 RBI over 15 games.

Sweet, facing another LHP. McDonald actually has a chance to have a good game.

I'm still extremely nervous about Dice-K, I just can't picture him succeeding in the game.

Edit: On the days he pitches, Theo wears a kimono to honor Dice k's culture.

I have a new pack of sunflower seeds ready and I'll consider this a successful Daisuke start if I have any of them left by the 6th inning.
