Javier Vazquez is 3.07 points away (on a 100 point scale) of losing his Type A status. If he continues to struggle or spends an extended amount in the bullpen, there's a good chance that he's only a Type B free agent at the end of the year.

At this rate, I think the Yankees would gladly accept a supplemental draft pick for him, assuming that they do offer him arbitration.

He shut down a good team in the Tigers. A rainout f-ed up the schedule and will now allow him to pitch in the pen against the sox. Assuming he isnt pressed into long man duty, he starts against the Mets on Friday and we all forget that this even happened

Unless he drops it like it's hot for much of the remainder of the season, I doubt that we'd "all forget" that Vasquez's struggles occurred. It's pretty hard to forget 1-4 with a 8.10 ERA and 1.80 WHIP.
