What happened?

Beltre and Ellsbury crashed, and Ellsbury took a long time to get up and was clutching his chest.

Ellsbury may have broken some ribs

You are a total bastard.

You really are. Why don't you give us an extended break from your s***?

If u want me to be unrealistic' date=' then let me know[/quote']

We see it every time you talk about a Yankee prospect.

Here's why Jacko is annoying:

EVENT: Ellsbury makes a spectacular catch in left.

Jacko: That catch was spectacular cause he took a bad route to the ball.

EVENT: Daniel Bard throws a 100 MPH fastball

Jacko: I'd rather 95 on the corner than 100 down the middle.

EVENT: Varitek hits two HRs

Jacko: He's back on the juice. He leads the team in HRs cause the Sox suck.

And in every occurance when the Sox do something good, Jacko offers his incredible insight by saying it's cause the other team did something bad.

Simply explain to Jacko that Ellsbury did not break a rib because he's more durable than Paul O'Neill.

He probably broke them. Non-displaced fractures are missed on more than 50% of XRays, even dedicated "rib films". Regardless, the treatment is the exact same. You cannot splint ribs, it's just pain control and making sure he breathes deeply. "Splinting" is the body's reaction to chest wall pain, meaning you take shallow breaths. Forcing him to take deep breaths (through pain medication and an incentive spirometer) is the best way to prevent pneumonia.

To tell you the truth, in my practice, if a patient has rib pain after appropriate trauma, they get the diagnosis of a rib fracture even if I dont see one on XRay. We miss them so frequently that you need to assume it is broken even with a normal XRay.

There are only 2 ways to find out. A bone scan, which is a waste of money, or an XRay in about 1-2 weeks if he is still having pain. If you see a callus, then he had a fracture.

Regardless, he's gonna be out awhile, and I expect a DL stint. Even if he didnt break it, he's gonna hurt for a week plus, meaning he's probably DL bound

Oh, so reality is you keep saying Ellsbury "probably has broken ribs" when every legitimate source has said that he suffered a rib contusion? No, you're just being a s*** disturber and an opportunist by bashing the team whenever you see a chance.

Must be a great feeling to have 20,000 posts and have no one take a single damn thing you say seriously. At least PWNdroia was only 250 posts or so in.
