The White Sox announcers ripped Joe West to shreds on air. If a player or manager said those things then they'd clearly be suspended, so I wonder if any of the White Sox announcers will be fined or suspended. I personally think that somebody should take Joe West behind a back alley and choke his f***** a** out.

I didn't see the call that got Buehrle/Guillen ejected, but I heard it was terrible.

There were 2 calls. The first balk call got Guillen ejected, and the 2nd balk call got Buerhle ejected. After the first one, Buerhle and West were staring and jawing at each other (from a distance), so Guillen ran to West and they were arguing and Guillen got ejected. After the 2nd balk call, Buerhle just tossed his glove to the ground and West immediately ejected him. Buerhle walked towards West but a bunch of his teammates got in his way.

 

In my opinion, the first balk call was absolutely ridiculous. I think that the 2nd one was ok but probably a reach of a call.

My buddy is going to tonights game, he'll be sitting in 1st base grandstand. He wants to try to get a chant going of, "Go Home Joe"

 

Really West doesnt want to let go, its pretty pathetic at this point. He's going after every team now. Id like both sides to step out of the batters boxes and pitchers/catchers meetings galore!

Joe West is still well behind Tim McClelland in terms of umpires that I hate the most. He's been umpiring the last few Sox games that I've been to and whenever they announce his name a bunch of us boo loudly.

 

Interesting, because I recall McClelland being voted by the players as one of the most respected umpires in the game due to his fair strike zone. The playoffs last year were f***ing horrible though.

I'm willing to wager the Rockies extend Ubaldo this season at the latest. See, baseball is suffering a shift in mindset, and it's almost impossible for high-tier talent to hit FA this day and age, and i used the Mauer example specifically because he's the poster boy for guys who should've been FA's but weren't.

I was just making the point that teams are now making a more conceited effort to keep their young guys around, specially if they're as talented as he is, i quoted you in the second post because i thought you might've taken from the initial statement the idea that i was just saying it to piss off Jacko, when in reality, it's just the way things are working now.
