Spicy veggie burgers added to the menus at concession stands!

Here's a picture of mayor mumbles sampling some new treats:

Seriously though, I couldn't help but smile looking through the photo gallery up on Boston.com today. There was one noticeable ACTUAL improvement:

SPRING LOADED SEATS! f*** YES. No more dislocated knees.

Veggie burgers? Great, now I not only have to deal with rupturing a testicle trying to fit into the seat but also with hipsters and pretentious vegans coming to the park for veggie burgers.

Lol Manino. I wonder if they made any improvements to the jumbletron?

Those seats will still be uncomfortable to sit in. Unless you have an eating disorder.

I've always thought the wooden seats were more comfortable than the plastic bucket style seats at other parks.

Yeah I can understand that. You're what, a 32' waist?

Even McCoy has more comfortable seating.

Baseball parks and stadiums should be limited to serving Hot Dogs, Crackerjack, peanuts and soda and beer. That's it. Personally, I don't understand why people drop a bundle on tickets to wait on line for bad food and miss half the game.

They sell what the public demands. I don't think they pulled veggie burgers out of their collective asses, I'm sure they did some research and found enough demand for veggie burgers.

Do we need to be eating all the time? I just wish people would enjoy the game and stay in their seats.

I agree

but they make too much money to stop serving everything

Really. The purpose of attending a game is to see baseball.

Sweet' date=' now I can't wait for Fenway to get Tofu burgers. Then I'll be in business. And how about some gluten free foods while we're at it.[/quote']

Umm, Veggie Burgers stateside are usually Tofu based. Lots of carbs and sugars.

"Howevah," throw the usual condiments (mustard, ketchup, pickles, onions) on them and no one will know the difference.

I think you're being unreasonable. Games are three hours long. Lots of people travel long distances to get to a game-- I'm personally two hours away and I don't generally like to spend even more time going to a restaurant when its already 7+ hours out of my day. Having food there just makes it convenient, and ten minutes of walking (or sometimes having the food brought to you) isn't exactly ruining the experience.

I remember a few years ago they had dip n dots ' date=' best ice cream ever and for whatever reason they dont sell it anymore[/quote']

I think they were recalled by the FDA, or the EPA, or something. Joe Hazelwood dropped some in the bleachers, and before you knew it there was a huge cleanup, beer sales were suspended after the 7th...

I'm not sure how to interpret what you have typed. But. If you have arrived sufficiently ahead of game time, the Kenmore/Beacon Street/Brookline Avenue area have much to offer. Just ask. There are several members here that can make responsible recomendations for you.

I accidentally quoted you and removed it, if that's what you mean. I know there are good places to go, but sometimes its better to take a few minutes to grab a slice of grimey pizza and call it a day.

Ha! Then Yawkey Way is the place to be!

I disagree. Cool dogs are a must. Ice cream shaped like a hot dog? Count me in!

You are a gentleman of fine tastes
