REPORT: Twins, Mauer Agree to 10-Year Extension

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins and catcher Joe Mauer have apparently agreed to terms on a 10-year contract extension. WCCO-TV in Minneapolis was the first to report the deal, but no financial figures were mentioned.

Am told by source close to the Twins that the report of a preliminary 10-year agreement with Mauer is not accurate.

Would definitely not be surprised if they did get something done. Mauer apparently loves playing for the Twins, and the Twins like making money, which having a pinnacle player really helps with, so it's a good match.
