Hello, everybody!

Since there are many Red Sox fans here like me, I just wanted to know if anybody here has been lucky enough to visit Fenway Park. I hear that it's a very nice place, and that they improved it a little bit. I've never seen it, but I've always wanted to go there and check the place out.:)

Why is there a pole in front of your seat?

I honestly do not know how to answer this question. There are poles in front of your seat sometimes. It looks like this: http://stevestewart.mlblogs.com/View-thumb-300x225.jpg

There's no leg room' date=' everything is expensive and often there's a pole right in front of your seat. But I love it.[/quote']

I agree with this assessment. They keep slapping down more coats of paint and "adding to the fan experience" (read, taking more of your money). Yet it is a compelling venue to watch baseball. It is the nicest dump I've ever been to.

It's a nice place' date=' but if you've ever eaten a meal in your lifetime don't expect to fit comfortably into the seats.[/quote']

This too!

And don't assume that your seat will be pointed in the direction that you choose to view!

Fenway Park is a s*** hole...nostalgic, yes, uniquem no doubt, but in terms of watching a baseball game it blows.

Love going to Boston for a game, love the atmosphere and all, but it's a crappy set up.

If they ever need someone to press the button that implodes the place I'll do it gladly.

Really? I keep hearing time and time again that it's a nice place.

its nice because of the history; its a dump because it takes awhile for history to happen.

It isn't a dump. It has its problems like most but for its age.

For her age, my grandmother has problems. But I wouldn't pay $100 to deal with her problems for 9 innings.

Fenway has been improved yearly and it is not a dump.

Its a dump. Turn it into a museum' date=' pin it on a wall; something to honor it. But its a dump.[/quote']

When was the last time you was there?

Saw three games this past season. For the price you pay I don't feel its worth it: small seats, narrow walkways, poles in your view, overall VERY cramped. It wasn't until I went to Safeco a couple times when I realized what a dump fenway is. I'd honestly be fine with them tearing it down. History loses its novelty.

Fenway Park is THAT CRAMPED? Another question I have is' date=' is Fenway Park wheelchair-accessible?[/quote']

I believe so. You'll find a list of sections on the official site I believe.

I like Fenway a lot. If you're not cheap you don't have to deal with any issues. Even if you are...I sit in the outfield grandstand a lot and I love it. I've ended up with "pole seats" twice. One time just the very corner of right field was blocked out, and that was okay. Other time, about 95% if my view was blocked. I ended up in the standing room section for that game...

I like Fenway, don't get me wrong, but the Sox need a new stadium. The place is too cramped, the seats aren't comfortable, and the prices are out of control. If they build a bigger and new stadium, prices will be lower because there will be a greater supply of seats, and I bet if the stadium held 42,000 people the demand would be high enough to still sell out every game.
