The refs gave them the game tonight like always.

Eh, I don't know, I can't think of too many obvious blown calls. The charging call was a pretty big one, but that's the only one that comes to mind immediately. And I'm sure there's a few that went the other way.

Please.

Butler was awesome and has nothing to be ashamed of. What a great game. My boyfriend is a life long Duke fan and very happy right now.

Friend of mine made an interesting point. CBS never gave us a good look at it, and after watching it a half dozen times, I can't say for certain that the ball left his finger tips before the clock hit zero.

I always look forward to One Shining Moment, but having Jennifer Hudson sing it was a really bad decision in my opinion. It lacked the elegance that I typically associate with the tribute to the tournament.

Absolutely incorrect. In a game where I thought the refs allowed a remarkable amount of contact, Butler stayed alive in the second half at the stripe with several calls that could have gone uncalled and fit in with the way the ref's officiated last nights game.

The charge, as mentioned by others was definitely questionable, but it came on the heels of a blocking call that was also questionable. Those calls essentially washed each other out.

Any time an undesirable college basketball outcome occurs for suns, the refs are at fault.

Duke needed everything to go right for them to win that game, and it did. Butler was just a little too inexperienced in big games, and came up just short. What a game. If they only lose Beasley after this year and return their other starters, they'll be a force to reckon with next season too.

Cue the SDS (Suns Defense Squad).

I think Maya Moore and Tina Charles were trying to make the game go to overtime so their college careers wouldn't be over.

I thought that they were trying to get the score to be 10+, either way, Moore is a junior so unless she leaves for the WNBA, she'll be back next year.

What rule changes would you like to see in the men's game?

-Possession arrow-change it to a jump ball

-Put in the semi circle.

If you're referring to the charge circle, whereby you can't be called for a charge inside the semi circle, then I agree with you.

One lost thought about the National Championship Game. On Butler's second to last possession, with thirteen seconds left, I don't understand with Brad Stevens didn't go back to the pick and roll. With Zoubek under the basket, Butler was having a great deal of trouble scoring in the paint. They were very successful drawing Zoubek out on the pick and roll, because after hedging, he was very slow to recover. Granted, at that stage of the game Duke almost certainly would have switched instead of hedging on screens, but that would have created a situation where Zoubek was forced to guard someone on the perimeter. Even if Zoubek stayed home a bit, it would have created a good look at a jump shot, which would have been much better than what Butler ended up getting.

Both of those, except maybe an 8 second count and a 30 shot second clock. The charge/block arc is the big one.

The NBA Semi-circle is the most important rule change. It should not be left to the Referees judgement

Also, dont let them inbounds from the front court to the back court. If you cant do inbounds you shouldnt be able to from out of bounds. Another is, you must have possession to call a time out. You cannot call timeout after you score.

And, you get 10 seconds to get the ball over half court. You use a timeout and you were at 9 seconds. Too bad. You have 1 second left.

Possibly, only 1 or 2 timeoutx per team in final 2 minutes. Speeds up game and keeps the momentum.

I've always despised college basketball. Its never been exciting and the format of the playoffs shows really just how s***** it actually is. This year, though. I decided I'd try to watch a few games. These are the major problems I had in no particular order and they all seemed to be linked in ways.

Atrocious ball movement. Sure, every now and then you would see a little bit of almost decent ball movement, though usually in transition. The next issue is related to this and might contribute.

Floor spacing, or lack thereof. Players tend to bunch way too much which makes it hard to have good ball movement. They tend to just drop one guy in the middle and bunch guys into the corners. Or when someone moves to the top of the key with the ball, two other guys come with him. The bunching tends to happen for the third issue.

Relying too much on the 3. Teams try to live for the 3 pt shot. Because of this, there is rarely anyone inside the 3 pt arc other than the guy camped out under the basket. Now, you would think that taking a lot of threes would make it easy to occasionally drive to the hoop when in a half court set. Nope. This advantage of taking 3's is negated by the poor floor spacing.

Those are my three issues. I was watching one day at the gym on a treadmill which is when I first noticed these issues. I was watching possessions (and having no particular favorite just wanted to see efficient basketball played) that were completely wasted. Missed guys who were open (they couldn't be passed to in most cases because the poor floor spacing filled in passing lanes) drove me nuts and the fact that it was so easy for anyone who drove to the hoop to have the defense collapse on them (again, all the offensive players played so close to each other that it made help defense a snap) that I wanted to hurt someone. So then I watched a few more games (these were all NCAA tournament games) and noticed the same problems every time by both teams. It's a disgrace to the sport. There is obviously little to no strategy or play calling, its just a free for all.

The playoff format leaves a lot to be desired. Mostly, I think I would like to see best of 3 series starting with the Sweet 16. Losing one game doesn't mean anything. And winning one game often means less. Good teams can learn from mistakes and improve. You don't get that chance in the NCAA. Plus, this format gets those teams who were pretending to be good out of the way.

Overall, I'm a huge basketball fan. Its by far my favorite sport. But I never want to watch a college game again.

keep the line moving! another one and done point guard, brandon knight, committed to Kentucky. Coach Cal's payroll just added one new employee. Now BK can win the sec title which will be vacated in 2020.

BK says he wants to recruit Selby to play with him. Welcome to UK-Calipari college basketball vortex. That 5th grader just signed also.

M*****f*****. Brandon Knight was one of 3 top 25 (and top 10 using Rivals) who had Uconn on their list of schools. Damn it, we really could have used him. Oh well, now I'll completely 180 and root against him.
