What an unbelievable game by the bench. Played almost all of the 4th.

If we're going to win this series, I think we have to win Game 5. Going back to LA and winning both 6 and 7 is highly unlikely.

That argument is weaksauce. Just because Rondo has a better supporting cast doesn't mean he's a better PG.

And where are they?

Did you really resort to saying that?

Seriously?

Rondo is f***ing awesome, but let's not forget that Paul had an injury plagued year on an EXTREMELY volatile team. People only started to entertain the notion that Rondo was in the top 3 when these guys teams were out of the playoffs, and none of the major veterans have the legs to be playing at their highest level so Rondo has to pick up some slack.

Rondo gets tons more help from his supporting cast than Paul and Williams respectively do.

When the one reason you can give for placing Rondo ahead of Paul and Williams has to do with how far their respective teams got, that's where you know you need to go reevaluate your opinion.

I personally put him above Nash' date=' but I think that in itself is debatable as well.[/quote']

Nash has acknowledged that Rondo is better.

I also put him above Nash. His defense gives him a slight edge, IMO. Plus, I like big-game players, and Rondo is unquestionably a big-game player.

I like Derrick Rose and all, but I wish he would commit to his D the way Rondo does. Maybe Thibodeau will be able to get through to him.

I wouldn't put much weight into that. Nash is too classy of a guy to say "F*** Rondo, I'm clearly better"

I'd wait a few years before saying that Rondo is better than Nash. If Rondo can continue what he's done this year for a few years, then I'll give him the nod over Nash.

Rondo is still really young. He's put up monstrous games in the playoffs, games so good they've compared him to the all-time greats. Better yet, statistically, his 29 point game was the 3rd best triple double in NBA playoff history. Sure, a lot of that has to do with the guys on his team, but the rest of the team hasn't exactly been consistent.

He has a lot of plays that are in the highlight reels, but he's not quite there yet. In two years, he'll be the best point guard in the league, but he needs some work on his jumpshot first.

Don't forget that he needs to work on FT. 63% for a career is horrid for a player who drives to the basket. Would really help his game and make him more of the threat.

Nash is a screen door on defense. I think it's laughable when he's compared to an all-time great like Stockton.

This is the pivotal game. The team that wins tonight, will most likely win the series. Everyone is banged up. It's gut check time. Who wants it more?

Control the boards and win the game.

Bynum's health is crucial to the rest of the series. He dominates the matchup between him and Perkins. I'd argue that when he's on(and that's incredibly rare because of his health), he's just as big defensively as Dwight Horward because he has the 7 foot tall Gasol helping him out. Seven blocked shots in game three. If Ray and Paul aren't on from the 3 point line, those two guys make it almost impossible to get good shots off when in the paint, and even tougher to get a rebound.

There is such a huge difference between Bynum and Odom, and you can tell by what Glen Davis did in game 4 without Bynum. Kobe will get his points, but I don't think the Lakers can win with Odom.
