It's interesting (to me anyway) that Gasol is now being labeled "the best offensive big man".

Hahahahahahahahhahahahaha!

Um. I prefer to quote Mike Felger when labeling Gasol. "Euro-weenie".

Celtics got to come out better for this game and work for it. They need to work for the rebounds' date=' what killed the C's in game 1 was Gasol getting those easy put backs off of offensive rebounds. We need Rondo to have a good game, when he plays well, it seems like the C's as a whole play well. KG needs to make an attempt to get to the hoop against the Gasol and play better defense on him tonight...... right now the Celtics are hitting their shots, Rasheed and Allen are on fire and the C's are up 7 after the 1st by 7[/quote']

Enlightening.

What a ******** third foul on Kobe. Wow...

This has been a very tightly called series. Just before that foul, I was commenting on all of the cheap fouls called on the Celtics. At least the officials are being tight on both sides.

It wasn't that it was a ticky tack call, though. Kobe did nothing to deserve the foul.

Both games have been terribly officiated. I haven't noticed it going one way or another but when referees call everything it makes for terrible basketball.

What a finish by Gasol...

Great ending to the half. Kobe with the steal... no doubt that ball was going in. Lakers have to feel good being down by just six.

From what I saw Garnett touched it first, but Gasol knocked it out of his hands.

RONDO FROM 21

PERK UNDER THE HOOP

SMELL YA LA

That ball definitely touched Garnett last. Gasol's hand mostly touched the back of Garnett's.

Garnett definitely had more of the ball, and was on the inside, but Gasol also had late contact on the ball as his fingers reached over the top of Garnett's, I thought the results were inconclusive, but highly leaning towards Garnett having touched the ball last.

There was one angle that supported that view, but the rest looked like Gasol. Realistically, I dont think you can overturn that without better evidence. It's a one way or another call. LA was getting those calls in game 1. It all evens out.

The people who piss me off the most are the ones that piss and moan about the 2-3-2 series in the Finals.

It rewards the teams that go out and win on the road.

You have home court to start, you hold your home games, and if you take one of three on the road, you get 2 shots to close it out at home.

If you don't, you dig out a win on the road and you go home with 3 to win.

I agree that the Third Foul on Kobe was BS and that the ball went out on KG.

But with that said the refs did have some good moments. There were two spots were they could have easily T'd up Perk.

Otherwise they sucked. The Foul on Big Baby's Block of Bynum and the block on Artest by Pierce.

The Celtics looked pretty good for most of the game except the last feew in the 2nd and the first few in the 3rd.

Kobe's fourth, when he "pushed" Rondo out of bounds, was a terrible call as well. He was really limited on both ends by playing the bulk of the fourth quarter with five fouls.

Referees have to start letting these guys play -- they're ruining otherwise great basketball.

That one was BS too.

The refs always seem to play tight in big match-ups. There was a couple of minutes in the fourth were they let them play.

One no-call that was good was when Allen went up against Kobe at the rim. The problem is that Allen should have gone right at him though.

And i hate how in Basketball they change refs every game. It really hurts the teams because they have no idea what the refs are gonna call like.

Atleast in baseball the players know what kind of strikezone they are gonna get.
