Bring on L.A.!

This below:

Phoenix is not going to roll over for the Lakers.

Also, it's one game. Let's not get our dicks hard over one game we nearly blew, ladies.

I wish suns was a Magic fan because he would have found a way to complain about the officiating, which was probably the best officiated game I've seen this season. They let some rough stuff go down low, they stayed away from the ticky tacky calls, but most importantly, they were consistent.

On the inbound pass that KG threw to Ray Allen at then end of the gay KG's foot was on the line, the play right after Nelson got the basket off the free throw. Should have been Magic ball. Lucky the Refs missed it.

Good start to the series. C's played some great defense in the first three quarters, but the Magic made a nice comeback in the end. We aren't going to be playing that great of defense for three quarters all series, nor will the Magic shoot that bad all series. If the C's can hold Orlando down for parts of the game and stay consistent offensively they can win. You can't hold down the Magic for all 48 minutes.

Carter also bounced the ball out of bounds in a crucial situation and it was never called. Bad calls cancel each other out every single game.

Yeah they usually do. It seemed that every call at the drop of a dime started to go the wrong way. I was Surprised this coin flip landed on our side.

I read something today that said that if the Celts won tonight, it would be the first time in their history that the club won 2 away games to start a playoff series. This seems impossible to me. Anyone have the awarewithall, as Aaron Boone announcer extraordinaire would say, to look it up? I've spent the whole night watching Celts/Sox in a bar in NY and I feel like I've been flattened by an old-fashioned milk truck.

Yeah, they said that on ESPN as well. It doesn't seem that unreasonable-- winning the first two games, both on the other team's court while being the underdog is tough.

I don't understand Pierce's cockiness, its not like the C's have blown out the Magic. I mean they have almost blown 4th quarter double digit leads and each game has been won by 4 points and 3 points. These have been close games. I find it more likely that Orlando takes 2/2 in Boston over a Boston think. I think the C's split and series goes back to Orlando 3-1 in Bostons favor

Pierce is being cocky because they did it in Orlando, and were able to build big leads against them. The crowd got Orlando back into it at the end of both games, but in the end the Celtic defense is killing the Magic. That, and Pierce has just as big a head as Lebron or any of the NBA's egomaniacs.

Orlando is allowing opponents to score an NBA-low 83.8 points per game this postseason. Boston is second at 92.4.

This is a major point. In the two games we played we avg. 93.5 and the have avg 90 per game. The Celtics defense has played well so far in the playoffs. JJ Redick has been a spark plug for the Magic. 27 points off the bench. He did make a bonehead play that cost them Game 2.

I do see Howard coming out strong in Game 3.

This is a different team right now than during the season. I think they caught both Cleveland and Orlando off guard. Doc is using 3 bench players who are all playing well--Sheed,TA and Baby. KG has upped his game to close to the KG of old. Rondo has taken another step and is now regarded as a star. They have a lot of weapons they can throw at you in a game, and are focussed on defense and passing--like the Russell era Celtics. If they stay healthy and focussed, they have a good chance at another Championship.

I don't see LA as good as Cleveland.

I disagree - I think LA is a better team than Cleveland although I absolutely think the Celtics can beat the Lakers in the Finals. I know, I know, neither series is over but realistically it's a serious longshot that either Phoenix or Orlando comes back and wins.

L.A. may or not be better than Cleveland.

What it comes down to is individual match-ups.

L.A. is going to have trouble if they face the Celts in the finals.

I think LA matches up much better with the Celtics than the Cavs.

LA has size and physical play to match what the Celtics do to their opponents. You can't say that you would take 4 Celtics after taking Kobe Bryant in a draft of the team's players like you could about LeBron and then the rest of the Cavs and Celtics.

I don't think there's any doubt that LA is a much better team than Cleveland, especially in a best-of-seven series.
