It's good to have you posting more frequently again. What have you been up to?

Busy working on the house in Texas. It was a rental before we bought it, and renters tend to let things go. The whole thing needed cleaning and paint, I'm talking every room. All the fans and fixtures were ugly barely functioning junk, so they needed replacing. Then, as we got rooms done, unpacking all our stuff. Plus, there's an inground pool, which was full of swamp water, leaves, and frogs. Needed to clean that out, repair all the pool equipment (pump motors needed replacing, filter needed new grids and cleaning), and then there's maintenance on it. We've finished about 75% of the work inside. Then it's outside for some landscaping, looking at what needs fixing on the hot tub and getting it up and running, some decking needs to be replaced, repair some siding and fascia at the roof, painting the structure of the deck roof, etc, etc. I'll be around some nights for the gamethread, but most nights I'll be knocking that stuff out.

 

I'll post pictures of the finished product once it's all done.

Nice, did work bring you to Texas, or did you just decide to move out there for other reasons?

Work. We finished up our backlog of contracts in FL and it was either move to Texas for this project, or look for work in FL. Hello Texas.

I'd be more angry with Gonzalez than Pedroia on that one.

No, I'm not a Gonzalez hater. But I think one should be angrier with Gonzalez getting in a double play than they should with Pedroia striking out. Much like Pedroia, you also swung and missed on that one.
