In order to get it down to 4, the sox would have to play out of this world baseball. Cause I think the yankees finish this month on a tear.

Home vs Toronto with Burnett on the hill

4 at Seattle, now without Washburn, who is our nemesis, Bedard is hurt, and we miss King Felix

3 at Oakland

then days off flanking the sox series in Boston with Joba, CC and Burnett lined up.

3 home vs Texas with Pettitte, Joba and Burnett slated, and we own Texas

The toughest series, IMO, is the CWS series, with 3 at home. Then we go on the road to Baltimore to end the month.

We should take tomorrow's game vs Toronto, take 3/4 vs Seattle, 2/3 vs Oakland, lets say we go 3-3 vs Boston and CWS, and take the Rangers series 2-1, thats 10-6. And with the way NY is playing, that may be conservative.

Regardless, the yankee team is packed with a bunch of second half stars. CC, Burnett, Pettitte, Tex, Cano, etc. It likely wont get too close unless the sox go on a ridiculous tear

that would be very nice, hopefully the type of tear that they make highlight reels for on sportscenter and then show before every boston playoff game.

I probably would have gone with Okajima rather than Papelbon in a 4 run game.

Meh.

If Paps has to throw less than 17-20 pitches then it is moot.

More than that, Oki is the choice.

We shall see.

How drastically have Paps mechanics changed compared to last year?

It's not mechanics, it's pitch selection.

I'll issue a pre-emptive warning. If some kind of ludicrous fight breaks out in this thread' date=' whoever instigates it is getting a 3 day ban.[/quote']

Does that mean YOTN gets a ban since he fought with Porcello?

Well, Granderson was going to hurt us at some point. Too good a hitter to shut down the entire series. This is relatively harmless as long as we get the last out.

He's only throwing fastballs, so everyone's sitting on them.

I wanted to make pasta tomorrow, but there's no shells or ziti around. Only that retarded penne stuff.

Bummer.

The shellls, ziti, and penne all have much the same characteristics. Unless you want to stuff something (manicotti), there is little difference.

Eat well.

Sox win!

7-5.
