And THAT right there is why you sign Papelbon long term.. when it counts..there is nobody better and he has a perfect post-season resume to back him up. Strictly stuff-wise...Bard may eclipse Papelbon.... but there is nobody in baseball I would rather have in there when you HAVE to have an out.

 

I love bard and I think he is A closer of the future but I in no way condone dumping Pap or letting Pap go so we can have Bard close, Pap is superior to bard.

this year?and last year? I think it is close, now over a career Rivera has been absolutely dominant and had a hell of a career that Pap cant touch but currently I would not say that Rivera is miles ahead of Pap.
