Maybe someone could actually answer my question. Is there a writer on the scene who, upon his work being posted here, would not be laughed instantly to scorn? Amalie Benjamin, maybe?

Benjamin, Gammons, Ringolsby, some people hate Mazz, but he's at least coherent and doesn't make ******** assumptions, Olney, Law and Crasnick also aren't half-bad, but that doesn't mean they're that good either.

Posted
s***-for-brains Ringolsby? No.

Come on, he's not that bad.

And besides, he doesn't make up a ******** trade scenario every five minutes.

Posted
Fail.

Now THAT'S a twit.

Had enough of Dojji and you want to start with me big guy?

Bring it Sir.:D

Seriously, She's not on the Globe staff because of her journalistic excellence. She's there because she is a she.

McAdam has consistently demonstrated to New Englanders that he is hooked into baseball and has very good knowledge of the game.

I doubt it very much.

The thing is, i don't like fantasy journalism.

I like people who tend to stick to facts but flip out the occasional theory that is not too left field.

Meet Amalie.

On the flip side.

Meet "Innocence Lost" McAdam.

What exactly is this thread about?

It's branched off in a few different directions, I'll admit that lol

Posted

Alex Speier is really good. McAdam is clearly intelligent and nows what he's talking about. Law and Crasnick are OK, Olney is hit or miss.

Benjamin and Kilgore are "meh". Mazz lets his personal agenda shine through too much.

Rosenthal, Cafardo, Shaughnessy and Gammons are the worst. I don't think anyone has disparaged anybody other than those four.

Posted
Come on Dipre' date=' that was a little unnecessary.[/quote']

Yeah yeah, i admit i went a little overboard, i apologize.

I've been trying my best to be a model citizen, but seriously, sometimes..........

lol, you've been doing a good job. I understand the frustration sometimes.

War of the Sox fans aside, i think the universal consensus here is that Rosenthal and Cafardo are the worst sportswriters ever.

Dipre is clearly a trouble maker that should be banned. He pisses everyone off and many people can't resist his baiting. This leaves to fights.

I'd take him on except I'm intimidated by his 6' diameter thighs.

The smileys.

You forgot them.

I was hell bent on using small pt. fonts in white but failed. I suck.

It's easy, hit the color tab and replace the COLOR="black"]"white"][/color then reduce the size to one.

Frodo and Cafardo write to get readers. That's why a lot of their stuff is polarizing/left field. There wrong like 90% f the time, but they usually make for an interesting/entertainment valued read. It's the 10% they get right that keeps us coming back. Sort of like myself:lol:;)

I still can't stop LMAO every time i see someone call Rosenthal Frodo Baggins.

Only on Talksox, can helping someone talk trash in their post, could be considered a friendly gesture:lol::lol:

You guys are fun:lol: Don't think I'd have it any other way:D

Dice-K Scheduled to Throw on Monday

by Michael Hurley on Aug 9, 2009 9:19:40 PM

The long road back to the Red Sox for Daisuke Matsuzaka will finally be taking a trip to the top of a mound this week. It won't be in game action, but it's a step in the right direction.

Matsuzaka will throw 40 pitches in a bullpen session on Monday and will throw 50 pitches on Friday and 65 pitches the following Monday, WEEI.com reports.

Dice-K struggles in minor-league rehab start

Joe McDonald Email

BOSTON _ While the Red Sox beat up on the Blue Jays and Roy Halladay on Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park, Daisuke Matsuzaka was just north of here, making a rehab start for Double-A Portland at Manchester, N.H.

The rehabbing right-hander, who has been on the DL since June 20 with a shoulder strain, worked only two innings and allowed five runs on four hits with three walks, two strikeouts and a home run.

Dice-K is slated to start for the PawSox on Friday and to return to the Boston rotation on Sept. 9.

As per Projo.

DiceK has about as much of a chance of being an effective pitcher this year than Chien Min Wang.

Care to elaborate?

I don't expect anything from Dice-K this year. I am disappointed that Wake's back will probably keep him from contributing.

At least we have Byrd!
