You're right, I'm sure the Yankees will continue on a 16-5 pace all year.

Where were you with this bull when the Yankees finished 3 games back at the All-Star break?

We are 42-22 since ARod returned.

So now that it's taken them 4 games to erase that deficit, are we supposed to simply ignore it?

lol no u

Seriously, what's up with all the come ons? Maybe calling me "champ" and "sweetie" was supposed to be some kind of insult, but in reality it just comes of as creepy and sexual...

If Buchholz comes up' date=' he's here for the rest of the year. I think he's out of options, and obviously he won't clear waivers.[/quote']

That's not how options work.

I'm fairly sure he can still be sent down because he has options left this season.

Alright, enough bull, let's be real. Do you, or do you not expect the Yankees to regress from their current 16-5 pace?

f*** 'depth' when 3 out of your 5 starters are average (or worse) then those are the types of results you're going to get. Either make a trade for Halladay or put Buchholz in' date=' you know someone with UPSIDE[/quote']You are right. The 4th and 5th starters are incapable of going more than 5 innings which has worn down the bullpen and hurt their performance. Wakefield is currently our #3 guy. I really hate him being higher than a #4 or #5. Dice K is no help, because he is only a 5 inning guy. They need someone who can go deep into a game and not run out of gas.

Yeah, you're right. He can be sent up and down all year. But once next year comes around, we can not send him down the minors again.

How old are you that you can't detect sarcasm?

I already know your response to this "lol it's not sarcasm lol"

The thing I could never understand' date=' how can something be "half" empty. Either it's empty, or it's not.[/quote']

Half of the volume available in the glass contains liquid. Half does not.

Half of the glass is full of liquid, half of it is empty.

I expect them to win 60% of their games from here on in.

Don't fall back on the injury bull. Tonight was the first time the Red Sox had their healthy lineup since April 9th.

yes' date=' it was a bloop hit. But the theme of the inning was pitches left out over the plate or pitches left up in the zone. Any person with a remote idea of the game of baseball knows that a tired pitcher will leave pitches up or over the plate.[/quote']

I made a meatball observation in the 5th, maybe the 4th. He was fortunate to make it as far as he did. He was leaving them up earlier.

Yes we should defenitly be like 40 games above .500 right? First place isn't good enough.

Well, now that it has taken the Yankees all of 4 games to erase the 3-game lead we had going into the all-star break, I guess we should just sit idly and wait for them to beat themselves. That'll work.

If this team stays constructed this way, a 3rd place finish is in our sights. And that, my friend, is not good enough.

For what it's worth, I'm not saying the offense doesn't need to be addressed, but I'm getting annoyed watching more than one 5th starter in our rotation.

So no. That's what I thought.

Feel free to make fun of other posters who think the Yankees will regress from their current .700+ pace though. I guess it's good for your internet cred.

He's not.

He's simply recognizing that when ARod is in the lineup the Yanks will probably win between 60-65% of their games and are probably the best team in baseball.

Why can't a Red Sox fan think the Yankees are the best team in baseball?

Please go to bed with your logic. My stupid jokes don't like it. <_>

I just don't like the saying.
