These are always fun. I'll post some stats, you tell me wheter you think the player will perform over or under. Then you can come up with your own over/under scenarios.

Beckett finishes the regular season with 19.5 wins.

Bay finishes the regular season with 129.5 RBI.

Ellsbury finishes the regular season with 69.5 stolen bases.

Ortiz finishes the regular season with a .250 AVG.

Lowell finishes the regular season with 119.5 games played.

Lowrie finishes the regular season with 59.5 games played.

Smoltz finishes the regular season with 6.5 wins.

19.5? What?

It's over/under. So you say whether the player will get more or less than 19.5 wins. I'm wondering if he'll win 20 games or more, so I asked if he'll win more or less than 19.5 wins.

It's not possible to get half a win' date=' so setting it at 19.5 gives people a way to definitively say that it will be over or under...it can't possibly be exactly 19.5.[/quote']

Eeeeeeeeexactly, this is how over/under works.

Feel free to come up with your own over/unders. As for 700 hitter's:

Dice K finishes the regular season with 5.5 wins. Under. I don't see where he fits into this rotation and there's still no word on when he'll be back.

Wow, that's a little surprising. At the half-way point Beckett's on pace for 20 wins, Bay's on pace for 140 RBI, Ellsbury's on pace for 70 SB. The rest are pretty subjective.

I think Beckett finishes with exactly 19 Ws I think Bay's Slump slows him down and keeps him no higher than 130, and i just dont think Ells gets 70, dont ask me why i just see him getting 58-63 but not much more.

I don't know, Bay hit .230 in June and still drove in 20 runs in 25 games. He's just an RBI machine. I feel better about him going over 130 RBI (on pace for 140) than any other of the over/unders.

Bay finishes the regular season with 129.5 RBI.

OVER...It will be close i'll say 135 if he stays relatively healthy

Ellsbury finishes the regular season with 69.5 stolen bases.

OVER...This one should be close too i'll say 72

Ortiz finishes the regular season with a .250 AVG.

OVER...He's a career 283 hitter...262

Lowell finishes the regular season with 119.5 games played.

OVER...I hope, hes only played less than that once in his career.

Lowrie finishes the regular season with 59.5 games played.

UNDER...Even if he comes back healty Nick Green is going to play too.

Smoltz finishes the regular season with 6.5 wins.

OVER...I don't think he'll get to 10 but somewhere between.

Dice K finishes the regular season with 5.5 wins

I am a Dice-K fan so i hope we get him back to normal, but where does he fit in this rotation? It seems like all the innings he has been racking up for so many years are catching up to him.It saddens me deeply but...UNDER

*Javier Lopez-14.5 Games

Under. Beckett is doing well, but winning 20 games in this league is not an easy thing to do and it doesn't take too many no decisions to put it out of reach.

Bay finishes the regular season with 129.5 RBI.

I'll take the under on this one, too, for similar reasons. Bay's a great hitter, but it takes elite level consistency to drive in that many, even on a good OBP team, and Bay hasn't quite been that consistent this year.

Ellsbury finishes the regular season with 69.5 stolen bases.

I'll take the over. Ellsbury's actually been doing better at getting on base lately, and in the bottom of the order I think Tito may be more aggressive with him.

Ortiz finishes the regular season with a .250 AVG.

I want to say over, but if he follows last year's pattern, some other health related thing will crop up in August and weaken him. I'll still go with over because I want to believe in the guy.

Lowell finishes the regular season with 119.5 games played.

Mike Lowell needs to be shut down for the lion's share of the rest of the season to get his hip right for the playoffs. They made this mistake last year, they'll make it this year too, and it'll cost us his bat in October. Regrettably, over. But not very far over, and I'd take the under on .5 games in the playoffs.

Lowrie finishes the regular season with 59.5 games played.

Over. Lowrie is versatile and plays 2 positions that are going to need warm bodies this year. whenever he comes up he'll be playing in most of the rest of the games unless he gets hurt again.

Smoltz finishes the regular season with 6.5 wins.

Over. I'm thinking 8-6, ERA somewhere in the 3.8-4.1 range

Dice K finishes the regular season with 5.5 wins.

I'm not even sure Daisuke will start another game for us this year so I'll take the under here.
