You talking about not having clues, sir?

My world just turned upside down.

Easy Tan toe. I know my fantasy trades get a little out there. I fully admit to thinking way our of the box. And not using the common sense with a lot of them. But there more for entertainment purposes then anything else.

When you get right down to the nuts and bolts of the game I consider myself as having a "clue".

The team that I coach also seems to think I have a clue as well;)

What level do you coach? Did you swing an epic 4 team deal?

Now I haven't been able to swing any big deals like that:lol:

I coach in the top class here in Holland. A couple of our guys currently play for the Dutch National team that played in the WBC(albeit one is injured at the moment). I'm not the manager, but I'm an assistant coach. I work with the younger pitchers we having coming up, and the OF of the current squad.

I also play for the top division mens fast pitch softball. Which if you haven't played before is really good. We have guys pitching mid to high 70's(under hand obviously), with 2 guys in the league that reach low 80-85MPH. And from that distance it's a total frickin blurr LOL It's actually really good play and competition.

I also play in the 3rd class for our local Baseball club for fun. I'm a better coach, but still love to get out there and play.

You coach a team, you certainly have to be the holy grail of baseball knowledge.

I've helped develop players who are actually in the minors now, but this is the first time i've ever mentioned it, but since you wanna enter a dick-measuring contest.

I play fast pitch softball, but it's impossible (at least for me) to reach the upper ranks.

The top rated teams here all have pitchers who throw in the 92-96 MPH range, including an old-timer who plays for a national bank that shall remain nameless who sits at 101 MPH.

I've played 3 times against their team with the old man pitching.

MY line?

I wasn't using my coaching background as a dick measuring contests. I was just trying to show that there is another side to BSN07 that you may not be aware. More to the madness, as it were.

Must be something in the water down there LOL I've never heard of anyone throwing that hard. The two guys who I mentioned earlier are the hardest throwers on the Dutch national team. And they are usually the hardest or close to the hardest throwing in any European tournament that I have witnessed.

Not to say your claim isn't true. I would honestly really like too see that. That hard from that distance would be disgusting:D

It's simple.

There's good money to be earned here by playing for pro softball teams here, and lemme tell you one thing, there're whispers of steroid use throughout the league, and if you see some of this guys' physiques, it's easy to understand why.

There aren't many beer bellies around, but there are a lot of Barroid-shaped heads.

Not too many beer bellies in our league. Couple leagues down it becomes beer league softball. I don't think there are any Barroid guys around though. I'm sure there is some. But no obvious abusers.

I would assume those are speeds as they would be from 60 feet. Cause the King and his Court, who threw maybe the hardest underhanded pitches ever, topped out in the high 70s to 81mph. But from 40 feet, that looks like 110

As usual, you are incorrect.

The "King", Eddie Feigner, was clocked at 104 MPH. Fundamental physics will tell you the distance from where he pitches from is irrelevant to the MPH.

It is completely believable that an underhand pitch would achieve greater speeds than overhand pitches. This follows the natural movement of the arm. Overhand movement is not what we are physiologically designed for.

Of course, had you studied human anatomy you would know this.

I've advocated trading him now. Although now that Holliday has already been traded(going 4-5 in his debut:rolleyes:) I don't see much of an upgrade right now.

As far as after the season goes, if he won't take what the Sox offer him, let him go. He's not someone I would hope they overpay for.

Don't mess with my softball exploits.

And who are the Sox gonna trade Bay for?

Seriously, throw something coherent out there.

I wasnt referring to trading him I was worried about re-signing him, and I have no clue who goes on the FA at the end of the year, Holliday will be back on the FA so thats a possibility just not a possibility for a trade.

so Who do the Sox trade Bay for? I have no f***in clue who, or much of a clue on who is available, or why the sox FO would have intrest in trading him.

I'm better than you.

The only sport you play is "getting my fat ass to the kitchen"

And you're pretty damn good at it.

UGH, I swear to god some of the same people who talk on internet baseball forums are the same people who get blown up during the big show on eei.

Why would they trade Bay? WTF!!! Teams who trade players at the deadline are in 2 categories, winners looking to get better and pick up veterans and losers trying to dump contracts and pick up prospects.

The Redsox are in the winning category, why trade away one of the biggest pieces of their offense. Yeah, hes sucked lately and no, he is not worth the money he will demand in the offseason, but we are BUYING at the dealine, not selling. If we were Toronto, yeah.....wed be trading Bay. Ugh, my head hurts.

You guys have to relize that Jason Goes into slumps. All players do.

In one year with the Pirates he had knee trouble and was in an allseason slump.

Let me just say it: He's no Manny Ramirez.

well no s***...Manny is one of the greatest right handed hitters of all time, you cant hold Bay up to the same standards...

I see where you coming from. But they did just trade Manny Ramirez at the TDL last season.

Traded Nomah during the TDL when he had refused an extension.

It's not unheard of.

Not really the same situation. Both players were traded for reasons beyond performance. Bay doesn't fall into the same category.
