God damnit' date=' Lowrie's headed back to Boston to have his knee looked at. It got hit with a pitch in one of his first rehab starts and it's still swollen.[/quote']

He seems to be a little fragile. Does he locker next to J.D. Drew? I don't think the FO can count on him playing a major role if Lowell misses a lot of time.

For the record, Baseball Prospectus' Playoff Odds says:

Rays: 38.22% division, 67.32% playoffs

Last night was disgusting. I actually listened to my girlfriend talk about her day in order to drown out the angry thoughts in my head. That was awful in so many ways. I hope a few people got kicked in the balls for that mess up. I'm avoiding the ESPN message boards today because of all the a******* that will certainly be talking s*** today. We'd better win again and fast.

You can swear on this board, lol.

Yeah, I'm hoping that's not the case and this is just a fluke injury, that will only keep him out a few days. You never know though.

He quietly had a s***** June. .301 OBP.

Yeah, he was bound to have a slump with the Red Sox eventually. I can't wait for him and Ortiz to both be hitting. Fingers crossed.

The FO won't have to worry much about the Yankees poaching Bay if he ends up hitting in the .260's.

Maybe that's why the Red Sox approached him in June to talk contract extension. I wonder if the Yankees would be interested in Bay even if he did hit the free agent market. They'd have to give up 2 draft picks to us and left field in Yankee Stadium is awfully big for a guy like Bay.
