This guy Salty is the guy that so many people wanted to replace Tek? he's hitting the same .248 with a lower OBP than Tek and only 5 HRs. In that AB he looked like an old Tek.

I'm surprised how long Remy's been out. Eck has been entertaining though. I don't really love Remy so much as an announcer, it's just weird not hearing him every night.

Varitek's a good value right now. I expected a .220 BA, OPS in the .600s and maybe 10 HR all season, certainly not in June. This is a treat.
