you can't even spell his name right. I hope we dont. I'd rather deal one of our pitchers.

And exactly what kind of pitching depth do the Yankees have?:lol::lol:

You arent serious. I was talking about Hughes or Joba actually. Since Halladay would be a direct upgrade over that position for now. Regardless, any deal with Toronto would hurt a lot.

Sucks to lose a month of development, but this was a really successful yr. His overall line between High A and AA as a 19 yr old was...

92G 347AB 117H 25 doubles 1 triple 17HR 70RBI 195TB .337BA .389OBP .562SLG .951OPS

And his AA line has his OPS at .909. So his bat has proven to be very real. The lost month does bother me on the defensive side, cause he'll need that more than anything else. He might be enrolled in the AFL this yr. If that is the case, he would get back the month he lost.

That sucks, he was listed as the 2nd best prospect recently behind Jason Heyward and looked to be on his way to a 2010 start in the Bronx. I'm sure he'll be up there by June though.

Oh well, good for us I guess even if he's just missing one month. Any idea if he'll play in the AFL this fall if he's able to MFY fans?

Sox fans should hope this kid pans out. Might be the only way the Sox get Mauer:D

This could be very true. Trade Montero.

The truth is, with Posada coming off the books next year...I can see the Yankees making a big splash with Mauer. Then watch the Yankee ERA drop by a half a point at least.

if he beats out Molina for the job.. ;)

Hopefully he doesn't.

Anyone who watched this White Sox series and says we are a better team with Posada behind the plate should be executed with extreme prejudice. Posada caught three of four games, the White Sox ran wild on the bases, the Yankees gave up a million runs in three of the four games...and guess which game we won?

If Girardi is smart enough to pull a Torre and start Molina in most of the games in the playoffs, we win. If not, we lose. It's that simple.

That would mean they signed Josh Beckett.

Go back and look it up buddy. In only one of our World Series Championships was Posada the main guy behind the plate in the playoffs.

Yankees never win again with Posada behind the plate.

Actually, Gom's mostly right about the championships thing. There was always a tense relationship between Posada and Girardi until Girardi went to the Cubs in 2000. Posada got the majority (a very slight one) of the bats, I believe, but the general consensus was that the pitching staff had more confidence in Girardi at the plate than Posada. Plus, from what i remember, Girardi was a MUCH better situational hitter than Posada. Anyone who has watched Posada's patented rally killing "GIDP with 2 men on and noone out" the past deacde or so understands what I'm talking about.

Girardi seesm to be the ******* suckup who doesnt get any respect from his former teamates and consequently the young guys see this, cabrerra and cano spent more time perfecting handshakes than they did on the bases last year...The whitesox are good and can be f***ing scary at times.

At least get your facts straight.

And one of the games Posada started was with Sergio Mitre on the mound...

Posada had the majority of the AB's, and started in most of the postseason games for three of the Yankees championships.

Your entire post was a perfect example of word salad.
