This I don't get. It happens every game, hes pitching fine then just get lit up one inning. What could be an explanation for this?

I'd like to say that Lester's massive amount of innings in 2008 compared to relatively minimal innings in the previous years is the reason for his troubles. But that isn't the case. He's throwing as hard as he's ever thrown and he isn't showing fatigue. He's just missing spots and leaving his fastball up in the zone.

That would be exactly a sign that he's fatigued. Control tends to go before velocity.
