What happened?

Bases loaded, two outs, top of the first...Cody Ransom hits a grounder that may have went over the corner of the third base bag, but was called foul. It was close. I'm not whining, just making an observation.

I've been defending Girardi a bit, but letting Pettitte face Escobar was a truly awful decision. One of a the signs of a bad manager, in my opinion, is someone who is influence by something small. It's likely the only reason Pettitte was left in is because he struck out McCann so easily. One strikeout does not undo how poor he has pitched the entire game.

Petite is a gamer, hes generally in every single game he starts and rarely gets pounded.

As long as the yanks can give him 5 runs he's going to win much more than he loses.

We won, so thats nice. Giving up 7 runs sucks, but at least the O came through and at least ARod was hitting the fastball. They had a stat on ESPN that his BA vs fastballs was in the .150 range, but all of his hits were off the fastball last night. If he gets hot, this offense will pick up again. It is strange that a guy so f***ing annoying is actually the motor that runs this club.

Exactly why I wanted him back. He isnt flashy, his WHIP is always in the 1.4 range and nowadays I dont expect his ERA under 4. But he gets the job done, never pretty, but it gets done.

Hes not shutting anyone out anymore but Id take him in a minute

he knows what to do,very crafty, isnt afraid of pitching around heavy bats and can find the weaknesses in every lineup, he had as much to do with their success in the 90s as just about anyone.

CC was on point. Gardner and ARod put the dagger in with the help of the mets defense. Cannot complain one bit. 3 in a row and the offense has awakened

Start planning the parade.

Good stuff today. Obviously the most encouraging part of the last few games is A-Rod. Like Jackson said earlier, the Yankees really do seem to go as A-Rod goes.

He's probably too busy planning Austin Jackson's Hall of Fame induction speech.

Hahaha, Melky takes the worst routes to balls but the Yankees announcers eat it up because it looks flashy when he barely gets to them.

The Mets suck so bad' date=' even Wang should be able to beat them.[/quote']

OTOH, if Wang gets beaten by the Mets, he needs to be shipped off to A ball immediately.

He's still on thin ice as far as I am concerned. But I dont think a demotion is in order. I think a move to the pen may be in order. He's been serviceable for 2 starts now. We need him to step up to being above average.

Sarcastic joke detection FAIL.

Read my statement again and reconsider comedic value.
