It wasn't a little twitch or something induced by a runner. It was a false start. You don't see many balks as obviuous as that one.

Haha, you take this Red Sox hatred thing way too far if you actually care about things like that. I think not making the playoffs, regardless of how many games they miss by, will be plenty demoralizing.

 

Not to mention the fact that they were so demoralized after 2006 that they won the World Series in 2007.

Isn't it less fulfilling when most of the fans who you're hoping will sulk already know their playoff chances are pretty low?

Yup, but the Yankees little mistakes on defense (Swisher, Burnett) have contributed to the A's runs.

I cannot believe the Yankees got shut out over five innings against Brett Tomko. Since Friday, the Yankees offense has looked pretty bad.

 

And A-Rod really sucks right now, I'm usually his biggest defender, but his ABs right now are awful.

That ball was crushed. They looked bad, but they've also been a bit unlucky at times tonight.

 

EDIT: If you consider both lineups and both starting pitchers, this is one of the worst losses of the year (rivaling the two to the Nationals).

The A's have a terrible lineup, but Burnett pitched a good game tonight. Swisher's terrible play, and two lapses from Burnett cost him tonight.

Awful loss. One of the worst of the entire season. A-Rod killed them tonight, and I'm concerned about what he's going to give them the rest of the year.
