Got a little lucky. Encarnacion crushed that ball to left, and Robertson left a number of fastballs around the middle of the plate.

Lost in this season is how good he has been. Next yrs pen has a lot of potential to it.

 

Rivera, Aceves, Robertson, Melancon, Coke and likely Dunn and Bruney. Not bad.

I think Rivera should be used no matter what today. He has really entered a rough patch as of late, and part of that might be due to sporadic use. It would be nice to get him in back to back games.

Also, Robertson has been incredibly unlucky this season. 13K per 9 IP and a BABIP of .347

that has a lot of break, though. His cutter has been hard, but it usually doesnt have that kind of break. If that is what it was, then great. He's got a really deep arsenal for next yr.

Gaudin has had to throw a lot of pitches (44 through 2) and needs to throw more strikes, but he's getting it done. I assume Mariano is unavailable?

Gaudin looked pretty good. He never gave in, which is great for relief, but we'll see how it translates to the rotation on Sunday. Nice to see the yankees offense come back to life late there. All 3 games had them on top early only to go silent for awhile.

I thought Toronto where going to sneak a win in that game, some nice pitching by them at times.

 

I tell you what though, if I'd of taken that pitch to the elbow it'd of taken a lot longer for me to get off the ground. OUCH!!
