I had the Yankees as a huge favorite when sabby pitched the other night and they gave me s*** pains by falling behind and only taking the lead in the 7th, thats expected when you play DC and their enemic bullpen.

Last night I looked at Wang against that lineup and almost pulled the trigger but backed off at the end due to his horrible ERA,his 2-1 price and the general suck that is Wang circa 2008-9.

He didnt disappoint Yank fans entirely and despite going 5 and giving up 3 the NY press is orgasmic in this heroic effort but that ball Dunn hit may still be in orbit.

The Yankees need some patience at the plate, ive seen them flailing away at all kinds of pitches that they should be taking, especially Arod and especially with men on base.

How many hrs would Babe Ruth hit in that ballpark considering Damon may approach 35 this year?

What a f***ing joke these power #s will be come the end of the year.

In fairness to Texeira he has hit everywhere but Ive seen 220 foot pops to right that get caught up in those port hole jets and they just float and float.

The Yanks have the bats as well as the #s that go with all that talent but lets admit that they dont play good team baseball as everyone is out for their own #s,especially that purple lipped pole smoking needle boy who wasnt quite sure if he should play for the usa puerto rico or dominica in the WBC.

Hes pressing too hard....After Gardner stole 2nd and 3rd last night i figured they were home free but that double play ball to end the game was a heartbreaker and Cano, who had been hot needed a ball to lift to tie the game, thats all he had to do but he couldnt get it done.

Imagine the pain in the Bronx these days if Castillo couldve caught that pop up that most 9 yr olds can catch, the one that lost the Mets fridays game?

They wouldve been swept by the sox, beaten 2/3 by the crosstown douchebags who blow large working dogs and are now facing a tie breaker for the series against 1 of the worst teams in the last 75 years?

I do love NY newspapers when the Yanks have a bad run.

Nobody eats their own like the NY press, even our *******s look like self help guru's compared to the angry little men like Mike Lupica and Joel Sherman.

right' date=' that is pretty pathetic. That being said, should be 2-2- heading to the 10th. Instead we get jobbed again. Thats 2 games in the past week that have been losses directly resulting from poor umpiring[/quote']

Stop it, just stop it right now.

This coming from the land of Jeffrey Maier and the f*** job we took in the 99 alcs with that play involving offerman at 2nd?

Think I forget anything? I forgive everyone but I forget nothing.

Thats 2 playoff games won that may have been lost and couldve turned both series the other way and possibly couldve cost NY a couple of titles.

Just be grateful for the past you can look back on ever fondly,2000 wasnt all that long ago.

Ever since Womack and Gonzales beat Rivera in November 2001 the luck thing has swung back to the middle and when Tony Clarkes ball ended up as a ground rule double the luck seems to have gone East... about 200 miles.

Karma is real, Castillo drops a routine pop up with 2 out in the 9th and Arod up Friday night.

That game was lost till the guy drops a ball my daughter wouldve caught in her back pocket.

Tonight that call was close but NY still left a runner at 3rd in the 9th with less than 2 out and they couldve easily come back considering Arod and his 27M was up followed by the smoking Robbie Cano but they gagged on the banana again.

The play involving Offerman was a bad call, but they still won the game 9-2 if I remember correctly. I know the play occurred when the game was much closer, but you can't complain about one call in a seven run game.

Joba does not have a good change up, and, at this point, he should not even bother throwing it.

EDIT: Ugh, that was really close on 0-2.

EDIT: He is really getting squeezed.

You know' date=' I've always wanted Joba to be a starter long term, but he just cannot throw enough strikes right now to start in the Major Leagues.[/quote']

Blasphemy!

How dare you say that Joba is anything but DOMINANT,ABSOLUTELY DOMINANT!

3-1 count to Cano. Stammen throws a fastball down and away, and Cano swings at it and hits a weak ground ball. These are the kind of swings, with Yankee hitters way ahead in the count, that have been plaguing this team.

I don't know what happened to Joba's velocity. This guy was throwing 98-99...and now if he breaks 93 it's a wonder.

I never thought I'd say this, but Lester throws harder. Hell...Veras throws harder.

It may be time to realize that he's most effective in the pen, and putting Hughes back in the rotation. I'm disappointed.

Nick Swisher is the dumbest baseball player I have ever seen.

EDIT: How many mental mistakes does Nick Swisher have to make before he gets benched?

I really don't give myself credit here too often, but I called a couple of weeks ago (even when they were winning some games) that the offense was really starting to struggle.

Girardi' date=' um, you do know that you have other guys in the pen aside from Aceves, right? This guy seems to pitch every night.[/quote']

He pitched yesterday, but before that, he hadn't pitched since Saturday.

Jackson, honestly, stop complaining about Girardi. You wanted Torre out of here. You were in favor of bringing in someone else to manage this team, even though they made the playoffs EVERY YEAR.

Joe Torre is taking a much less talented team to unknown levels of awesome this year.

Meanwhile, the Yankees and their near $200 mill payroll are struggling in every aspect of the game under Girardi.

Karma's a bitch,lol.

Oh, and if the Yanks lose ths series to the Natinals i suggest all Yanks fans stay away from the site for a couple days.

Not all of us wanted Torre gone, but yeah, I agree.

But most of this isn't even Girardi's fault, it's just that people who wanted Torre out shouldn't be calling for Girardi out as well.
