well, I said before the season that we should have moved Veras while his stock was high. I liked Edwar, because he showed improved command from yr to yr. Veras, not so much. His motion does not allow for consistently locating his target, meaning that he's gonna be prone to being wild more than most. Nice to see Robertson up. Soon, Melancon will be up as well and Veras may find himself out of a job

Heres the deal and it stands the same for the sox...I dont care what your payroll is or who you have on your roster, inevitably the game will come down to the guys like Veras, like Bruney, like Coke, like Delcarmen and Okajima with the ball needing to get thru an inning...You can have a 15m per closer, you can have a 20M a year starter but the balance of many games lies between them.

Sabby and Wang tung have made these guys work hard and its 10 days into the season.

Our staff has essentially sucked as well, i think the deeper staff will prevail over the long haul.

I like Wang, but it's time for Wang to work it out in the minors. He will now have 3 of the Yankees 6 losses, and he has utterly killed the Yankee bullpen.

 

He needs to go to Scranton, figure it out, and then come back strong [hopefully]. Give Hughes or Tomko a shot, and actually, I'd bring up both. Hughes to start, and Tomko as a long reliever. Claggett was the sacrificial lamb today.

 

I hope they go through with it.
