I was pretty shocked to see Tony Graffinino (go Bulldogs) on the Guardians. I thought he had long since been retired.

The big man just couldnt throw strikes consistently today, yet he gave us a gritty, gutty performance. Tied 1-1. Runner on 1st, 2 outs, Edwar coming in.

 

Good outing, for a 4th or 5th SP. That is not an attractive line for your #1. But it was better then the first 2, I'll give him that.

More like 5/10. He left the game tied. He couldn't make it 6 IP to get a quality start. To give him a 7 is extremely optimistic. By Jacko's reasoning Penny pitched a 9/10 the other night. But try and get him to admit it LOL

7 of 10 starts that were solid. As much as you dont want to admit it, 5.2IP and 1ER is solid. Granted, he was lucky as hell today and he had nearly no command of his fastball for the second time in 3 starts. But he did his job nonetheless

Ya it's decent, but Brad Penny could have given you that at 3.2% of what CC makes. CC as a #1 is going to be held to higher standards(just like Beckett), and today he didn't pitch like a #1.

if your starter gets you 17 outs and allows a run, you cant call it a bad outing just cause his offense couldnt scratch together more than a run
