The difference in who he will face this year vs. who he faced last year (in division) is 0.42 R/G. He'll pitch against division foes in about 1/2 his games, or 16. Assuming he pitches complete games in all those games, which we all know he won't, that's 7 runs over the course of the season, and doesn't account for the fact that a half dozen or so of his out of division schedule will now be easier.

 

Lowe was a good pitcher last year. If he pitches like he did last year, he'll be a good pitcher this year. Period.

is anybody else digging MLB network? I think its perfect for people who don't have MLB extra innings and still want to follow the entire league. I have really enjoyed it so far this week.

 

Yeah, it's a great channel. The offseason stuff I liked a lot, like the shows on baseball's seasons. I haven't had a chance to watch it this week, but I'm sure they're covering a ton of games.

Yeah, I always liked the look of Turner Field. Plus they've always had great management with Schuerholz and Bobby Cox. Frank Wren though? We'll see about him.
