Supposed.

And yes it was.

A couple points to you:

A) I have never held an argument or grudge against anyone on this site, i just call them like i see them, if someone's a jerk, i treat them as such, i.e: diony, jacksonian, if i just find them funny, i just jab with them i.e: Gom.

B ) Never have i had a problem with you, so why you're trying to start s*** with me is beyond reason.

C) You should really substantiate claims such as "you rub off as an *******" with some sort of example so as to give the other person a chance to defend themselves accordingly, pulling comments like that just for the sake of starting a fight is never a good idea.

D) Good day to you, sir.

Tis' a fine list of Yankee-loving douchebags(2) you have compiled. I do concur. I also agree that Gom seems cool enough.

You, sir, have just become a personal favorite of mine.

It really wasnt funny. Just saying.

A) Jacksonian has been here way longer than you, and has contributed way more to this board. Look, the only reason I said that, is that you appear to make unecessary confrontational alot.

B.) I dont really have a problem with you, I've just taken exception to a few comments you've made to another members.

C) I'll take back the ******* comment, but still point B.

D) Is calling eveyone sir supposed to be funny as well?

SUPPOSED

And depends, this time it's used to enforce my point.

Actually caught it before you posted that' date=' but yeah all my points still stand.[/quote']

Not really, confrontation is what makes a board interesting.

Again, if Jacksonian doesn't complain, (he just takes because he also dishes it out), who asked you to play the cartoon hero role?

You shouldn't take exception to anything, since people here are adults, an if they don't like something they can speak for themselves.

So i would suggest minding your own business and stop making other people's arguments yours, sir.

(See, sir enforced my point right there)

As it stands right now (barring any trades), Im thinking the 25 man roster will look something like this

Catcher- Platoon to start the season off of Kottaras/Bard

1st Base- Kevin Youkilis

Backup-- Jeff Bailey. Though there is rumblings that Kotsay could come back to the Sox

DH- David Ortiz

2nd Base- Dustin Pedroia

Shortstop- Platoon of Lowrie/Lugo

3rd Base- Mike Lowell

Left Field- Jason Bay

Center Field- Jacoby Ellsbury

Right Field- J.D. Drew

Backup-- Sox looking for right handed hitting outfielder from outside the organization, Gabe Kapler or Rocco Baldelli

Starting Rotation

Josh Beckett

Jon Lester

Daisuke Matsuzaka

Brad Penny

Tim Wakefield

Bullpen

Wes Littleton

Javier Lopez

Manny Delcarmen

Ramon Ramirez

Justin Masterson

Hideki Okajima

Jonathan Papelbon

Hairston, to me, would be awesome in the utility role, he's not incompetent offensively, he can handle a number of positions, and i quick enough to steal a couple bases.

That would be a great signing IMHO.

I would love to see the return of Kapler. He's a fit since he's a RHH who can play RF and (theoretically) CF and spell two LHH's who we're interested in how well they'll last a full season at their positions. If he can bring the same level of offense here that he brought to Milwaukee in his comeback year, bring on Gabe Kapler.

Just say no on Lowrie/Lugo platoon though. One player or the other.

Perhaps I'm just fantasizing, but I would love to see them invest in Nomar in a utility role. Ideally he'd provide some power and ability to sub in OK at first and play a bit of third base, so it's not COMPLETELY insane to contemplate it. The time of the year he's most likely to not have completely broken down yet is April, and that's the period when we're most worried about both Ortiz and Lowell.

It could work.

Nah, they'd be better off finding a minor leaguer who can approxomate Nomar's offensive value but also stay healthy so they can project around him instead of replacing Nomar when he inevitably gets hurt.

I dont think the Sox would tolerate a utility guy with a known attitude problem. The fact that he's injury prone just adds to it
