How can he be upset? The only team that would put up with his s*** traded him last year. He was costing less when the Sox put him on waivers years ago and nobody took him. Now he's older and is obviously a selfish *******.

He probably thought that having a monster season in LA would motivate teams to get him, but I think it showed that he was dogging it in Boston more than anything. Everyone knew he was good, he just proved he wasn't trying and wasn't injured when he said he was.

He had a very good thing going in Boston but he got greedy and now Jason Bay has his position. Tough s*** Manny. Tough s***. He will sign with the Angels or the Dodgers IMO.

This is priceless. You can't make this s*** up.

"Ramirez told a friend that he spends most of his time working out, watching cartoons and playing video games."

 HAHAHAHAHA LMAO

Rather than retire I have an idea for manny that would allow him to be beloved and make a lot of money. Sign with a Japanese team  They would love him over there, and he would just eat it up

Manny meet Karma, Karma meet Manny.

I honestly think Boras had alot to do with Manny's mental state of late. He was fine and dandy, then he signed with Boras. Boras filled his head with big$ talk. Told him the only way to get it, was to hit the open market. Manny did his part to make sure he hit the open market, and now it has backfired. Even as recent as last off season this plan might have worked. Boras just didn't see the economy messing with his grand scheme.

I love the fact he works out, watches cartoons and plays video games. Sounds like a fun guy to chill with. Also shows that Manny is a tade immature for his age.

He'd knock out 60 home runs and break Oh's single season record (55) off that pitching in those ballparks. truthfully, I would love to see him over there.

..better than facing him here.

Too bad he created his own frustration -- his midseason antics with the Sox have got to be the singular reason why teams have kept him at arm's length to this point. Boras miscalculated. He'll end up with 2-3 years from the Dodgers or Angels, probably... but for his production, he should be getting a lot more money. A shame. He could have retired as a legendary Sox player... he'll enter the HoF with a Sox cap, but he could've had a Sox number retired.

While it likely is a factor, it is not the single reason. The fact is, a bunch of teams just don't have room for him. The Red Sox would normally be in the running, but obviously are not. The Yankees got Tex as their big bat of the offseason, and along with Swisher, they have no room in the outfield without a trade. The Angels and Mets have said they're out. The Phillies have Ibanez, the Brewers have Braun, the Cubs have Soriano. The Tigers and White Sox are full in space and payroll and want to get younger. Most other teams don't want to commit that much money to a single player or simply do not have enough money. The Dodgers seem to be the likely destination since every other big market team is basically out, but we'll see.

The Giants have to go after Manny. He has no suitors left (except maybe the Dodgers), the Giants can buy him at their price. If he goes to SF, and Johnson/Zito hold up in the rotation, the Giants have a great shot to win the NL West (I only see the D-Backs staying with them).

Hes nearing his 40's.....he feels "ignored"?? thats more like a 5 year old kid feeling ignored over his brother.....

stop acting like a baby and suck it up!

Manny would be a good fit in SF. Following Bonds' date=' he would not seem to be such a colossal ass.[/quote']

Yeah, but no one would come closer to Bonds' doucheness than Manny.

Bonds is the epitome of douche.

Manny's at a very distant second, but he is second nonetheless, closely followed by A-Rod and Roger Clemens.
