wouldnt worry much about paps you cant bring the same snap to your pitches every outing won 3/4 from the jays anyone else pumped?

Yeah but for the past week he's been s***ing on us. I'm starting to wonder if something might be wrong with him. Nothing major, but maybe a sore back? Something?

The Wild Card is a vitual certainty, so we need to discuss the pros and cons of winning the division. I think there is a valid argument that the Angels would be easier to beat in 5 games than 7 games.

After the fact, I think using Halladay on 3 days rest when your team is 8 games down with 15 games to go is negligent by the Jays. Halladay is their most valuable property, and they risked his health for a non-existent pennant race is just irresponsible.

Especially since we beat them in 3 games in 04 and 07. Seems like no matter how we do against them in the regular season, the postseason always ends up easier.

My preferred way in the play-off

ALDS - Against White Sox - chances are we will have home field.

ALCS - Against the Angels - chances are we will be the visitors.

if something was wrong with him physically, Tito wouldnt have had him warming on Friday night with a 4-0 lead against a Toronto team that showed extremely little interest in playing that game

No, it's because he throws nothing but fastballs. He used to have a dominant splitter, but he doesn't throw it at all.

I really hope he ditches the "beat me on my first pitch" mentality' date=' 5-6 looks at any same pitch is going to make it less effective, you have a sldier and splitter Paps, use them.[/quote']

That's exactly it. He doesn't have overwhelming velocity or movement, it would benefit him to mix it up just to keep guys honest. It's the same mentality Beckett had while he was giving up all those 500' dongs two years ago.

I was at the game today, Paps had his nipples surgically removed with that fastball. He's a great closer, he's just not a one pitch closer and the sooner he realizes it the better. He still hasn't figured out how to throw "out" pitches yet.
