I think this is an overreaction by Gaston. Marcum usually gives us problems and he's one out from getting out of the inning. Now he's calling on his pen for 5+.

I agree. I don't think he should have been pulled THAT soon. Even Buchholz wasn't pulled until it was absolute sure he wasn't going to get out safe.

We struck early, now it's time to hit the bullpen hard.

They actually stuck with Clay 2 games too many. It was obvious that he's been lacking the confidence for a while. But you're right, the should have left Marcum in to at least finish the inning.

Well I didn't mean game wise. I meant as in his last game, it took 8 runs before he was finally pulled. Toronto just jumped the gun in my opinion.

And dear GOD these Blue Jays announcers are f***ing boring.

Huff would be a good addition, but where will he fit in 2009, or even in two weeks? He's not exactly cheap, either.

Sign Bonds. He'll only cost $300,000.

Huff isn't realistic, but he's obviously better than Millar, which is all I was saying.

You're not exactly breaking new ground with that statement.

What do you mean? Everybody knows you want the tubby, t-shirt slogan guy over a lefty that can rake. To suggest otherwise is blazing a trail.

What is Huff's salary?

Like you said he isn't realistic, but it's not like the O's would want to just give him away either. He's been an offensive force for them all year long.

No way to Bonds. I have to sit here and listen to all the Doyer fans sings praises of Manny for his hitting and his effort but they don't know the whole story...they're just blinded by the numbers. Same thing with Bonds. f*** him and how his jealous ass spit on the game. I like how all the teams, including the Yankees, have cock-blocked his ass out of baseball...I just hope it continues.

The sox have changed the tone of the clubhouse since 2004 and are now a hard wording no-nonsense crew. They got rid of all the 'idiots', except the ones that put in the hard work. Getting rid of Manny, to me, was the close of that 'idiot' chapter so to bring Bonds in just to get a few bombs defeats the purpose.

I think Bonds would be so relieved to get another opportunity, that he wouldn't be a distraction.

If he had actually come clean and admitted his mistakes, then sure, let him play. I have no problem with Giambi, even Rodney Harrison, who admit they f***ed up and are sorry. But Bonds, same with Clemens, thumb there noses at everyone but expect to get a second chance.

f*** that.

The U.S. is historically forgiving but we're not total dipshits but Bonds expects everyone to believe him just because Giant fans stroked his ego everytime he came to bat.

Huff is versatile we can put him almost anywhere in the field. He will fit in nicely if Drew is out.

And then there's the fact that in 2006 and 2007, years that he wasn't at his best in plenty of aspects, he OPS'd .999 and 1.045, respectively.

He cleared weaver - so it's not like he is in great demand for his or other teams. If we can get a Byrd like deal - I am all for it.

Are you serious? The guy is having a monster year. Why would Baltimore give him up?

Depending on the amount of prospects going to Baltimore, I would do it. The Red Sox can probably flip him in 2009.
