over what?

I didn't catch all of it - but something about a mass exodus of White Sox fans leaving the park right after Ellsbury's hit to put us up 5-1.

MLB.tv gives you the home team's broadcasters every time, correct?

Not for me. Last year, against the Royals on opening day I had Remy and Orsillo.

not EVERY time, but the vast majority of the time. the white sox guys are by far the most annoying

for example, every time the white sox hit a homer, the ******* announcer says "you can put it on the boaaaaaaaard" and then the color guy joins in to yell "YES!"

When the Sox took the 4-1 lead, the camera showed the crowd and it was just a few people leaving, and they were talking about it as if it was a "mass exodus". Then they giggled for a few minutes.

Up until this year MLB Extra Innings usually showed the home team's broadcast. Thankfully this year they changed that and the majority of the time they show both broadcasts, giving you the choice of who you want to watch. I love it, because every game this year I've been able to watch NESN aside from the Rangers and Astros series due to them being our "local" teams since we get FSN Southwest on Directv.

I read some of the comments in this thread before the 7th inning. That's about how I felt. I thought tht e whole offense needed to be chucked, but they battled him got his pitch count up and go the key hit when they needed it. I got really worried when Quentin made that catch to save the run. Once they got to the pen they opened it up. Beckett was phenomenal. He just refused to get beat. Big big win coupled with a flat flat Yankee loss.

I'd save Papelbon. One inning isn't going to kill Beckett and he was doing fine.

Against a team like the Rangers we'll more than likely need Paps more than we did tonight.

it was his first appearance in 5 days' date=' how much saving does he really need?[/quote']

Beat me to it. Save him too much and he's not as effective the next time you need him. He got an inning of work in.

Call me retarded but who is Charlie Zink? I've never heard of him.

Career minor leaguer, knuckleballer. Having a breakout year this year.

I'm proud of the guys on this trip. 4-3, but they were in every game, could have won 2 of those losses anyway. I'm not saying they are a great team, but they are holding up after losing Manny. Take out TX next at Fenway! Let's go Zinky!

Tomorrow night will be fun. I'm so psyched to see Zink play. He was my "adopt a prospect" guy a few years back. I feel like a dad.

The AAA knuckleballer we just called up to start tomorrow night.

13-4 with a 2.89 ERA this year at Pawtucket

Let's hope you chose well.

7-3 since the Manny trade, I'd say even better than holding up.

Can't help but root for the guy he's making his first MLB start in the greatest city in the world.
