Youkilis might be one of the top ten first basemen in MLB.

Maybe as good as sixth-best. :D

I heard a wise man say this same thing... can't quite remember who or where...

How does Lugo have a .288 average? I'm not sure I've ever seen him get a hit. Check that -- he laid down a nasty bunt single Tuesday. Presumably he does sometimes swing the bat and get a hit...?

this is the 8th game in a row that the sox have had at least 11 hits in a game and das11209 says this offense blows:rolleyes:

Dude, it's the hit/run ratio.

No, see, MLB instituted a new rule near the end of Spring Training, every error by a shortstop is counted as .020 on their batting average.

So shouldn't he be batting .693?

Throw that same slider right over the plate. It's unhittable, but it's got to have the right initial azimuth.

No, with his .288 average that means hes batting .088 without the errors!

:D

I was thinking he had 39 errors and a -.087 average. My bad.

JHB II is nearing the end of a 66-page book report on The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I think he's doing pretty well for fifth grade.

I would imagine wrong. Delcarmen in.

Surprised me too. I guess MDC hasn't worked in a while. I think the Tigers are mailing this one in anyway.

Good thread start. Good game.
