5/4 vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Timlin in the 8th was banned yesterday evening. He's a guy I've known at other sites, unless somebody is cloning his name, and he's actually a knowledgeable and devout Red Sox fan, but he can be a true ******* and he was posting as if he had consumed 15-21 alcoholic beverages.

 

I like the moderation team at Talksox.

yeszir, the poster had the voice of the guy I knew as "Timlin in the 8th" and he didn't abuse me when I replied to him...I think that I knew him.

In Gomes' ROY year, '05, I went to every Sox vs Rays series down in Tampa. I watched quite a few of their games on TV as well when it didn't conflict with Sox' games. Gomes used to spray line drives all over the field. His swing was much more level (still had some lift to it). He's morphed into a close to worthless TTO hitter. He's trying to jack every pitch. It amazes me that the Tampa organization either has him doing this or allows it to happen. I feared him as a hitter in a big spot in '05. Now I only fear he'll accidentally run into one.

 

JHB, that's a bit much. There's some very good young, cheap talent on this team.

Absolutely.

 

The Detroit Tigers with Curtis Granderson are a completely different team to the Tigers without Granderson. A split is adequate; three of four is a coup.
