The pitch in question to Pedroia had a location of 0.951 feet from the center of home plate. That's 0.12 feet (1.5 inches) outside the rule book strike zone, but it's half an inch inside the actual normal MLB strike zone that's usually called.

 

Kazmir got two extra strikes all game, one high, one low. Overall it was a very well-called game.

What is the path to the Pitch f/x data?

 

I tried year_2008, month_5, day_4 for 5/4/2008. Don't know where to find the raw pitch f/x. I did see something that looked useful under "plays" and attempted to export it to Excel, but got a schema error.

On the subject of cool websites I just found one today at http://www.fangraphs.com which lets you see cool things like this:

This time zone thing still bothers me. Its 9:48 PM on a gameday and I'm sitting here going "where's the damn game thread".
