Burnett has been s*** this year but he typically owns the Sox. Either way, let's get some f***in' runs before the stretch for a change

Excepting Rios, Toronto's starting lineup hits pretty well against Wakefield. (Zaun, McDonald and Lind are on the bench; Rolen is 0-5 but it's just five at bats.) This isn't going to be another pitchers' duel. Boston will have to score runs to win.

The trouble is, excepting the success Dustin and Manny have had in their nine combined career appearances against Burnett, Boston's lineup has struggled. Casey, who owns Burnett (13-23 career) is on the DL; Drew, who has a career .400 OBP vs. Burnett, is resting his quad again. Boston's last four batters are a combined 0-11 vs. Burnett for their careers.

It will be challenging for Boston to prevail. Still, with Timmay pitching, anything can happen! :D

The thing I love most about Wakefield is that he always has that ability to go out there against a lineup full of guys who are batting .800 off of him, and throw 8 innings of two-hit ball with pitches never exceeding 80mph. I love it.

I love it. You can really see if a pitch is a ball or strike. The further off center you move, the more interpretative the strikezone becomes to the viewer. I've always thought Camden's camera angle was the best.

Yeah but after 10 years of being able to see the crowd behind home plate, its just way to wierd for me.

Kevin Cash is a dangerous man and should always be walked.

He just saw as many pitches as our 5-8 hitters saw in the 2nd inning combined.

Love the expression on Timmay's face after Manny's catch...kinda like, "Oh, Gawd, Manny, do you have to create the drama of coming so close to letting it go over your glove?"

Yeah, and they get a complete s*** double like that. It's all because Eckstein is so f***ing scrappy.

I've never seen a team hit so many balls right at fielders like they are doing through this slump. It seems like 80% of the balls in play are within 2-steps for the IFs and 5-steps for the OFs. It's really strange.

I think Manny just ended Burnett's night. He may face other batters, but that should have worn him down as he gets into the higher end of his pitch limit.
